Can uterine cancer cause positive pregnancy test? I have had 3 positive pregnancy tests through blood work? I have had 3 pregnancy blood tests with hcg levels of 8.5, 8.3, then 8.2. What causes this? HELP PLEASE! All of the tests were done within 1 week. Dr. says I am NOT pregnant? Is there anything else that can cause a blood pregnancy test to be positive besides pregnancy?

Hi, I was just wondering, I'm 5 days late (which never happens) & I'm going to have a blood test tomorrow morning to see whether I am or not...I've already done two urine pregnancy tests in those 5 days & they have been negative. So i was wondering is it two early for a blood test, will it pick up my hormone levels straightaway? thanx for your answers

How accurate are blood tests in detecting pregnancy? Okay, I had my Mirena IUD Removed 05/08/2007. My first mentral cycle was on 05/11/2007. I was due for my 2nd cycle on 06/07/2007. On 6/12 (I believe) I took a blood test and it came out negative to pregnancy. It's been almost 3 weeks awaiting my period and nothing! I had light pink spotting once - last week - but other than that nothing at all. I have been tired (very), had sore breasts, feeling dizzy, and nauseous. All possible PMS symptoms as well as pregnancy symptoms. I don't know .. I ruled out pregnancy once the blood test came back negative, but I still feel sick and tired and there is NO sign of my period. Personal Experiences? Please help - Serious answers only please. May 11 - first period June 7 - second period *due* June 13 - blood test June 14 - negative blood test results June 19 - one small light pink spotting on panty, not on toilet paper.

How long does it take to get results from a blood pregnancy test? I have taken 2 home pregnancy tests and both were negative, but it has been 60 days since I had my period so my doctor is having me come in for a blood test. I'm wondering how long it will take before she can give me the results? Will it be while I'm at the appt? Or does she call me later with the results?

Do urine pregnancy tests not work for some women? Does it need to be done with a blood test? I really feel as though I am pregnant. I have all the symptoms of a pregnant woman, and I haven't had my period going on 7 weeks now. However, I have taken 3 different urine tests and they keep coming up negitive. One of my friends told me to go get a blood test done because for some women urine tests simply don't work. Is that true? I just don't see a blood test coming up positive after 3 negitive urine tests.

4 positive pregnancy tests but negative blood test? I was wondering if anyone ever had this happen? Yesterday I took a dollar tree pregnancy test and it was positive so I decided to buy another dollar tree pregnancy test and a good 2 pack of clear blue digital. Well I decided to take them last night around 7 o clock. So I took the dollar tree and thought if it's positive too then I will use the good one. well it was positive also so I took a clear blue digital and it said pregnant. Well I took another this morning with first morning urine and it too said pregnant. well I am going to the doctors in a little while to get a blood test, but I am so scared it is going to say negative. I been trying to conceive for so long and am soo scared of a negative result! Has anyone ever had this happen? $ or so pregnancy tests positive then negative blood test? pregnant?/tubular pregnancy?/shady home tests/blood test? Okay, bear with me. There's a lot to this. I've been having "stabbing" lower-back pain for about three months now. Right where I would assume where my ovaries are. EVERY SINGLE DAY, and especially in the morning! At the same time I went in for this, I told my gyno that my right breast has grown dramatically within a two week time span. She sent me for a series of ultra sounds: They found that I have a cyst on both ovaries, and a lump in my breast. She sent me for a urinary test: Turns out I had a bladder infection and a UTI. Gyno switched my BCP and put me on antibiotics for the infections. Before I even went in for my ultrasounds last month I was recommended to take a pregnancy test. My friend, and a mother of a toddler, read my result with me. It clearly read negative, but the positive lines were still showing very faintly. I took another one the next day; same result (mostly negative but with some positive peaking through). Yesterday I got in to see the breast specialist: He declares it's just "breast density" and it doesn't look like anything too serious. He recommended to keep my eye on it. Says possible causes are BCP or my thyroid medicine. Took a second urinalysis yesterday to see if the infection cleared out. Called my gyno because recently (even before being told I had a bladder/UTI) I've been feeling really nauseas and the back pain is still here. Yesterday and today, nauseas to the point where I ran outside to puke (my bathroom was occupied). She sent me for a (pregnancy) blood test. Before being told I had a bladder/UTI I thought I had the stomach flu, due to the nausea and bathroom related issues. I took the antibiotics as prescribed and completely. I went in for the blood test about an hour before they were expected to close. The tube and the paperwork was marked "stat" and I was told that I should receive my answer that day (Friday). I haven't heard anything from them. And since it's a weekend, I'm going to be waiting until Monday, correct? The past two months I have had what I assumed to be my periods. They were a bit shorter, and considerably darker in colour. While I have had what I think is my period, I'm also currently experiencing about 85-90% of ALL pregnancy symptoms. Gyno other possible problems: -Kidney stones -Stomach infection (though her exact words were "stomach thing") -Pregnancy. A) How reliable are those home tests from a month ago? B) What are the chances, that if I am pregnant, that it's complicated? -I'm thinking it may be tubular, due to the extreme pain in the left ovary. C) Am I really gonna have to wait until Monday to find out? -Will they tell me over the phone? I'm a student, and I have to travel 40mi. home to go see the doctor. Pregnancy blood tests after birth control...? I'm 22. Two months ago, I found out my boyfriend has an inoperable, fatal form of cancer. I've been with this man since jr. high and I couldn't imagine ever having a family with anyone else... So, we both made the decision that I would stop taking birth control and try to get pregnant. We found out last week that we are, via several home pregnancy tests all saying yes. I still have to go to the doctor to make it official. The problem is, we don't want either of our families to find out this was intentional, they wouldn't understand. My question is, when I go to the doctor this first time for my blood tests and the like, will he/she be able to tell I had stopped taking my birth control, by my estrogen levels and such? Pregnancy blood tests? I was a day late in my 26 day cycle on 19th Feb so I took a pregnancy test (urine) and it came up a faint positive. I went to the doctor and he thought it was positive too and sent me up for a blood pregnancy test (the yes no one). The results were borderline and have to retake on monday. Just wondered if this was normal and it was borderline coz of me been only on day 27 of my cycle? I am just worried and need some words of advice to what this could mean. Thank you x

Since there is a good chance that I could be pregnant this month, she did a blood pregnancy test first to rule out a pregnancy- the results will be available tomorrow morning. My period isn't due until July 30th, which is an entire week away. Would a positive result show up this soon even in a blood test? How early was a positive blood test detectable for you? When should I take a blood pregnancy test? I had sex on March the 9th and had a blood test done on April the 10th... about 8 days after my period should have come. I took about 12 home pregnancy tests of all brands and they all came out negative as well. 21 days ago I had an ultrasound and the doctor said I wasnt pregnant and put me on birth control pills since he found a cyst in my ovary probably caused by the morning-after pill I took after having been with my bf on March the 9th (I had protected sex and the condom didnt break I just wanted to be 100% sure). is there a different type of blood test to check pregnancy? do routine blood tests at the hospital automatically check a woman's Hcg level for pregnancy? or do you have to request a special blood pregnancy test if you want to find out if you are pregnant or not?
