do doctors say if they found THC content in your blood if they were doing blood tests for cancer test? im going to the doctors to get a lump checked out, and my mom said they might do blood tests and other things. for the blood tests, if doctors found drug chemicals in the blood, will they tell my parents even though it may be irrellevant?

Blood tests for cancer? My Mum recently had blood tests following scans indicating masses on her lungs. The blood tests do not indicate cancer but I wasn't sure if this means 100% that she does not have lung cancer... or whether it maybe means that it still could be cancer but not progresses enough to be detected in her blood etc... sorry if that's a stupid question but can anyone shed some light? She still has to go for an endoscopy and hopefully we'll know more after that.

Is evil detected through tests in the blood like cancer is detected in the blood? Ok here is the thing. What I'm trying to find out is the reason behind people who are just pure evil, nothing about them is good, everything is evil, when you look in there eyes you see torture & you feel nothing but coldness & death like Michael Myer's out of the movie Halloween. Can blood tests reveal cancer or xrays? i was just wondering can blood tests or xrays reveal cancer? i mean im asking cause i had a headache on the right front and back of my head for 3 half weeks now and im being sent for blood tests and xrays. well i have no other symptoms at all. but i find this pain in my head worrying although the dr doesnt seem to think its serious. im waiting to see a neurologist. should i ask for a scan aswel? and can blood tests xrays detect cancer tumours hemorages etc? can stress cause such a migraine front and back of the head for so long? i cant imagine why im getting this? i never ever had pain in the back of my head like this before and its been there for nearly 4 weeks. im being sent for a neck xray the dr thinks its awakward sitting at the computer lol neck strain but i dont think so personally its a dull pain that moves kindov in the back of my head comes and goes cant be neck strain lol
How reliable are blood tests on dogs? Like testing them for cancer etc. Basically, my dog had tests for cancer (which came back as negative)... but my dog was still having problems so the vet opened him up and had a look. He removed what he THINKS is a cancerous tumour (but which could be scar tissue [my dog is a rescue dog so we don't know his past]) What I want to know is because the blood test for cancer came back negative, what are the chances that what the vet removed is or is't cancer? sorry I don't really know how to word this very well.

Am I worrying too much? Any idea's what this could be? Already ran blood tests for cancer and was clear.? My doctor was disturbed by a lot of infections and illnesses and anaemia I was getting given my age. Said it was too much for late 20's. I was sent through a series of blood tests, ultrasounds and stuff. My spleen appeared enlarged and my blood counts were a smidge low. Tested me for STD's and cancer. Didn't find anything that would cause spleen to be enlarged. I was going to let it go but now I have a lump on the back of my head that feels like a bruise and it hasn't gone away. I'm still tired and sick often but functioning okay. The lump feels fused to my skull but wasn't there before. I'm thinking it could just be a cyst. It's possible my spleen was just big to begin with. I'm being sent to urologist for one of my frequent infections but it bugs me that it doesn't address the rest of the things I catch. Am I just overreacting? If I get this checked out, am I wasting my dr's time? I don't smoke or drink. I eat healthy but as I've gotten tired I'm not exercising nearly as much as I used to. Not even when I had prescription pain killers and there was hell to pay when I forgot.

question about blood cancer tests? I don't get it when I post on any boards nobody replies! I'm hoping for a reply here. What I wanna know is with blood cancer tests such as the c1 15.3, the CEA, and the ca27.29, the normal ranges are 0-25, 0-38, and 0-3. There are conditions that can raise then such as benign breast disease, cysts, ect. How much of a raise is considered a recurrance? My mother had a masectomy, and lumpectomy, lumpectomy was not cancer material. She now has a complex cyst, prior levels after cancer ( dr never did before masectomy so we could measure it! ) were 44 and 37, after benign stuff removed 40 and 31.6, now she has the complex cyst and levels are 47.7 and 57.7, would the cyst raise them that high if it were benign or could the cyst be cancer and that raised them?

I have had a Colostomy for Anal Cancer. BUT - do Blood Tests show anal cancer markers? I have heard they don't? In Apr/May/June-2009 I had Chemo & Radiation for Anal Cancer & was told I was a "cure". But, it came back, and Dec/2009 I had a Colostomy & now wear a bag and I do 'Irrigations' every 2nd day. My worry, of course, is that cancer cells will show up elsewhere. B-U-T.... I have heard that Anal cancer doesn't show up in blood tests.
THYROID BLOOD TEST, CANCER? My best friend had a blood test for a spider bite she attained. Instead of clearing her, the doctor looked at her blood test results, turned to her mum and said "Is there any people who have had thyroid cancer, in either side of the family, this is a serious question". Being none, my friend asked the doctor why he asked. All he told her was that her blood test was unusual and that she has to have another lood test in a month. WHAT THE HELL?? Been asked to do a CA 125 Blood test, is this ovarian cancer? I basically went to my doctors in regards to fetility to see if I was fertile. He sent me to the hospital to have tests done, one of which was an Ultrasound scan. My Gynocologist has now advised me that there are cysts on my overies and also one that is different. Hi, For those of you who are medical professionals, would a standard blood panel that you are given during a physical be likely to raise red flags if a person has (undiagnosed) cancer somewhere in their body? Am I cancer free after blood tests and xray? I went in to the ER due to intense back and abdominal pain, I thought for a while I had cancer due to the other symptoms I had with the pain, persistant cough, fever, irregular bowels, decrease in appetite. Im only 25 but didnt think my age really mattered, im sure you can have cancer at any stage. Anyway I went in and the doctors did a complete set of blood tests and a series of xrays and an ultra-sound. All of these tests came back normal. Why is the CA-125 blood test to check for ovarian cancer not part of a woman's yearly checkup? My sister-n-law has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She had a pap smear about 2 years ago. My vet ice packed a blood sample over to the CSU veterinary school last week and two days ago the vet called me saying my dog had both lymphoma and leukemia. If you have regular flu / colds, and are having blood tests for glandular fever, diabetes, anaemia, ME etc do they check your blood for other serious illnesses eg Leukemia, AIDS, cancer etc. Do the doctors have to ask your permission to check your blood for these? Thyroid cancer blood test, VERY high T4, but low tsh.? I am wondering what this means. My doctor didn't have time to explain the results of this. My recent blood work came back saying my T4 was really high, 35 or something like that. I am having slight simptoms of hyperthyroidism. I am on sythroid, 300mg dosage every day, very high dosage. I have been on this dosage for the past 6-7 months. I had a chest and neck x-ray done about a month prior to the blood work and it came out completely clear, no signs of cancer. I had the tumor removed and I have had radioactive iodine treatments done over the past two years. Since then my prognosis has been very good. So what is going on? Am I having a recurance or is my medication too high and maybe needs to be reduced? Or was the blood test a mistake? I had a re-test done last friday and im waiting on results today. Would any of these have abnormal levels if there was cancer of mouth or throat? The reason I asked was because of changes in my mouth, I have not had a sore throat but it has been red. I am quite young, though I smoke, and though I was not a heavy smoker, I have had anxiety and depression and began chain smoking when I felt bad. There is redness in my throat, I have a swollen tonsil, prominent thread veins in my mouth and I get sores and ulcers after eating. All my blood work has been fine, I have seen a dentist who didn't see anything that worries him. So pushing them for more tests could be hard.

If I had some type of cancer that had gone to the stage of spreading to my lymph nodes would blood tests show? I have got lymph nodes in my groin area that I have not felt before. I noticed them about 6 weeks ago so went along to the Drs to have them checked out. I was suffering with a bad cold/flu type illness at the time and the Doc put it down to a viral infec. I have had lots of other odd symptoms: cold water running sensation through my arms, pins and needles in my hands and feet, dizzy, nausea, feeling of pressure and throbbing under my arms and in my groin. I have had Complete Blood Count, thyroid, liver and kidney function test, inflammation test, diabetes, anemia blood tests and a urine test. Everthing was normal including physical exams of stomach, strength and reflexes. I had a very close friend who died last year after finding a lump under her arm which she soon found out was melanoma cancer that had got to the stage of spread ing to her lymph glands. If I had cancer and it had got to the stage of spreading to my lymph glands would one of the tests I have had show an abnormality?

Can a regular blood test show signs of cancer in general? Can you have cancer with normal blood tests? I have lost a lot of weight from feeling full all the time, I'm constantly tired and my lymph nodes in my groin are constantly swollen and very painful, and now the ones in my armpits are too. I am also bruising really easily, but not so much as finding random bruises on my arms and hips mostly from absolutely nothing. But my blood tests come back relatively normal most of the time, only once a while ago they had come back with elevated white blood cells. But are no longer doing so. I was wondering what kind of cancer this could be and is it possible to have cancer with no elevated white blood cells?
Blood test: Can it detect cancer without further testing? My fiance has had a lot of symptoms lately that have kept her doctors baffled to this point. She's been to several specialists, but she's not getting any "real" answers about what the possiblities are. After her recent bloodwork, her doctor simply said "your bloodwork came back fine". False-Positive Pregancy Test, Cancer? I took an at home pregnancy test that said i was positive. Then when I went into the doctors office to confirm it she said that it was unclear if i was or not, and sent me for some blood tests. Cancer runs in my family both my grandparents had it. Can doctors test for cancer and brain tumors just from a blood test? i'm pregnant ever since i got pregnant i have had nuttin but panic attacks and bad pressure in my head, not head aches or bad pains just a load of pressure, i been to the doctor time to time and they leave it all cause of panic attacks. Blood tests for cancer? I've been having a lot of wierd symptoms lately (pain, weight loss, nausea....) and they have been around for about a month. The doctors did blood tests three times and it has never shown anything abnormal in my blood counts or electrolyte levels. Can cancer be detected by having a blood test? Why is it that doctors do a biopsy on a particular area. Can't they determine if someone has cancer by giving you a blood test? I would be a lot less painful and if it's not cancer you wouldn't have a scoop of your skin missing and always be touching it with your tongue if the biopsy was done inside your mouth. Can blood tests help diagnose cancer? I am a self admitted hypochondriac who obseses about my health all the time. I hope you can help. My newest stress in my fear of lymphoma. I went to go get checked out and he felt all of my nodes and said there was nothing wrong, and he took blood samples. I got them back and he said that everything was fine. my question, if I had lymphoma, I know the blood test wouldn't be able to diagnose it, but would there be some white flag shooting up saying I need more testing? I just need some peace of mind because I read the symptoms and I think I get them in my head.
