Drug Test by testing Saliva? I am not trying to pass a drug test, just trying to find some info. I had never heard of a saliva drug test before, and when my fiance get hired at Lowes they did one. The lady told him it could test for years back and was highly accurate. Well, it must not test all THAT far back. But anyway. I thought it was just a bluff since she told him to "not waste my time and leave if you have done any drugs in the last 3 years." But since then I have been trying to find some info on them. When I google all I get is companies trying to sell me a kit to pass the test. Does anyone have any good facts on these? What chemical does it test for? Is there drug residue stored in salivary glands? Again, don't tell me not to use drugs, I don't. I am just curious and looking for some good info. Thanks!

Serious answers only, please :) Okay, So I have an interview for a job tomorrow and I know for a fact they do a saliva drug test as a condition of employment. I have a feeling that if I pass the interview, I'll be tested tomorrow. I've heard saliva drug tests can only detect marijuana for up to 24hrs. is this true? The last time I smoked was Friday around 2pm and I smoke regularly (1 or 2 bong bowls a day on avg.) So if the last time I smoked was Friday... my saliva should pass if I get tested tomorrow (Monday), right? I'm fairly confident that I'll pass, But it'd be nice to get some feedback from someone who has more experience on passing drug tests.

Will pep spice show up on a mouth swab/saliva drug test? I'm on drug court and I've been smoking spice and I found out they're gonna start using mouth swabs to find out if people have been smoking spice and also my friend said it shows up as thc. Is this true? And also (if it does in fact show up as thc) what can I do to make the test show up clean/negative for thc?

Job saliva drug test? I smoked about two weeks ago Thursday and then a week before that on a Monday. I have a drug test coming up on Tuesday for a job and I know for a fact that it is a saliva test. I just need to know how far back a saliva test can detect THC because i get so many different answers i want to see what people can post here, please keep it personal experience as much as you can. And for those who say don't smoke don't post it because I'm stopping, and then seeing that it will be about 2 weeks and 5 days since i last smoked will i be able to pass a saliva test. Ohh and i have been brushing somewhat regularly but for the next week I'll brush 4 times a day try to floss 2 times a day and use mouthwash 2 times a day also. And just for I Say I stopped smoking i sorta came to realization that smoking weed isnt really my lifestyle

What companies do saliva drug tests? I don't drink and I don't do any drug harder than tobacco. I'm absolutely scared of cocaine and almost every drug out there. I do smoke a bit of weed though. I took a home urine test that came out positive. I have not smoked in 2 weeks, since I am looking for a job. I've read it can take up to 12 weeks for cannabis to not show up on a urine test, and I simply cannot wait that long. It almost wish I was doing coke for the simple fact that you can pass a urine test without cheating in 1-2 days. With a saliva test, I'd pass with flying colors. 14 hours for marijuana, 2-3 days for other harder drugs, which is fair to me. I don't want to cheat on the test. I don't feel that a urinalysis can actually test for on the job drug use. I would like to be hired for my qualifications, and not turned down for my free time activities. I would just like to know who actually tests fairly or does not test at all. And no, I don't want your opinion on the "evils of weed", I want your answers I do have something to worry about, because the urinalysis is the most common test. And I currently do not pass it.

So I have a drug and alcohol test via saliva, how long does it stay in there? Well see I just realized my drug test involves alcohol too..saliva based..now I had two glasses of wine to celebrate tonight at dinner. Now I realized that might not of been smart..My test will be in like 2 days I know 100 percent that I have 29 hours atleast until the test. Will I pass a pre employment saliva drug screen with valid prescriptions? I have a job interview at Costco in 2 days from now, and i am aware of the fact that they do a drug screening with a saliva test. I have a prescription to hydrocodone 10/325 because of a surgery i had on my shoulder 4 or 5 months back. I am still in constant pain due to the bone they took out of my hip to re-stablize my shoulder. I have done some research and found that it is technically ok for me to have the hydrocodone in my system because i have a legal prescription. Now if i were to be sent to a facility to take a urine sample, i know that all i would have to do is show them a valid prescription, and my employer wound not have to know. BUT, since i will be taking a salive sample, i am under there impression that it will be administered on site of the interview. I also know that HIPPA laws state that i have the right to keep any medical conditions private, and that my future employer has no reason to know what i am prescribed to. I do not want Costco to know about this prescription if at all possible. I also read that if they do know about my prescription, it is illegel for them to deny me employment unless it directly affects my job, which it wont. But we all know that just because an employer isn't "supposed" to be able to play this as a factor, does not mean they wont. Since i will be given the saliva test on site, how would it be possibe for them not to know? Also, am i correct with everything i have stated? I do not want to be discriminated agaisnt because of my prescription. I Live in Washington, and am a 21 year old male. Please help give me any information possible, i am stressing pretty hard about this. Also, if i were to not mention anything about the meds, could i call the call the recieving lab of the saliva test and clear the med at that time? didn't do drugs, why did i fail a drug test? I had to take a (saliva) drug test at work yesterday. today i got the results and i FAILED for anphedamines (sp?). I know for a fact i didnt do any drugs. and the only thing i have taken in the last 2 or so mos is benadryl (1 day before) Tylenol PM (week or so before) Tylenol extra str (a few days befor) a flu shot and a tetnus shot (3 days before) And got an IUD (3 days before) can anyone tell me if any of this will show up as a anphedimine ?

First of all i only agreed to a pee or hair drug test i didn't agree to a saliva and on top of that thinking i would take a pee test before i got there i drank water and lots of water so i can pee. So anyways i failed and i called quest diagnostics and wanted to ask them how is this possible. but they told me they cant tell me because they work for lowes so now im thinking about filing a lawsuit with quest diagnostics but im not sure what to do i know for a fact that i should have passed that test im not a drug addict at all!!!!!!!!! Walgreens Pre-employment Drug Testing? I have to take a drug test soon for a Walgreens job I'm about to start. I have prescriptions for hydrocodone w/ APAP and lorazepam, but they're expired (the drugs aren't expired, but the actual prescription is expired, since controlled drugs are only valid for 6 months here in Texas). I take them only when genuinely needed for anxiety and severe back pain. However, the hydrocodone prescription was written about 15 months ago, and I think the lorazepam was written around 10-12 months ago. So if I have a positive drug test, which I'm sure I will, is the fact that they were legally prescribed to me a valid reason for having them in my system, even though it's been long after the prescription expired? Also, does anybody know what TYPE of drug test Walgreens uses? I'm assuming it's a urine test, but I've also heard they do saliva swabs and sometimes hair tests. Anybody know for sure? Thanks for your responses, and please only respond if you know for sure. I'm more than a little worried about this, as it's a big job. I just want to make sure nothing messes up my chances of getting this new job.

Will my urine be clean? Ok, so I have a drug screening in two days from now for a job. It's likely to be either urine or a saliva test. I know for a fact I would pass the saliva test. But, what are the chances of me passing a urine test? (high/low) ... i have a high metabolism and excercise just about every day. How longh will 50mg vivance stay in your system? I was originally prescribed vivance 50mg by a free clinic who did not know what they were doing. I was to take the pill once a day every day.It was too high a dose and after 2 months caused serious problems. I stopped taking it.They gave me enough for 3 months and I kept them in a carying case in my purse. After I stopped taking them I forgot that they were in there. I was pulled over and they searched my car and found my medicine. Because it was in a caring case I was charged with possession and have court in mid march. I no longer have a perscription for it due to the fact I no longer take it. But it doesn't matter even if I did. I will have to take a drug test possibly a week before my court date. Will the vivance show up in my system? And let me start off by saying that I didn't really have insertive anal sex, since I was barely forcing my penis inside. 10 years later, now, 2009. I get this inflamed throat. It's not sore since it doesn't hurt, but it feels like my left tonsil is swollen, and it's harder to swallow saliva. I also had a minor urine infection as well and very small pimple-like bump on my penis (uncircumsized). Does this mean I automatically have AIDS? NO. Can anyone help with persistent dry mouth issues? This is kind of a multifaceted problem that has been going on for about 3 years now. 3 years ago I began to feel that my mouth was constantly dry, that I had to hawk up gross thick mucous instead of blowing my nose ( I have not blown regular mucous out of my nose for years) and that my lips were almost always chapped. I tried using a nasal rinse every morning, which helped a bit but certainly did not solve the problem. I also tried to drink lots of water, but this clearly wasn't the issue because I drank tons and my mouth would often still feel very dry afterwards. I don't drink coffee, do drugs, drink alcohol, or smoke, so I can rule those out as causes. I was also allergy tested and apparently I only have a mild allergy to mold. I went to an ear-nose-throat specialist and they suggested that I might be having breathing problems stemming from a deviated septum, which would cause me to mouth breathe constantly and thus, have a dry mouth. I had a surgical procedure to correct this issue. I experienced no improvement afterwards. I have tried using a dry mouth toothpaste, which doesn't seem to help much and leaves a funny taste in my mouth. I have also tried using dry mouth, saliva stimulating products (Biotene) which are problamatic because they also taste funny. One of the main reasons that I want to solve this nagging issue is the fact that I have a girlfriend right now and I fear that I'm a lousy kisser. I can help the dry-mouth problem by religiously using the nasal rinse and drinking tons of water, but this doesn't solve the problem. I don't know what the problem is! No one could explain to me. This problem has become a regular part of my life, but I hate it because it lowers my self-esteem and causes me grief all the time, (do I have my water bottle on me, what if she kisses me and i'm not ready). It's just embarrassing, it makes me feel lousy about myself, and I'm sick of it. I'm used to the problem but every once in a while I get very sad about it and wonder why the hell this happened to me. I wasn't always like this, at all!. I don't know what the problem is, could someone please help me. You probably can't, but whatever, I had to ask.
