Friend blew a .0112 on a alcohol breath test...? he said that he had a sore throat and took a couple of direct hits of robitussin. Was sitting looking out the window and saw police lights flashing. When he realized it was his friend pulled over he walked over to see if he was OK. The officer told him to leave. He said "I just wanted to see if my friend was OK" and began to walk away... the officer called in back up. The other officer came and cuffed my friend and threw him in the back of his squad car for "abstructing an arrest"... Gave him a breath test and he blew a .0112. how is it my blood alcohol level is .222 when i never drink alcohol at all? i was pulled over last night for not maintaning a lane as well as not signaling 100ft before changing lanes. i had no problem doing what the cop said even being pocket searched. what really threw me off was the alcohol breath test. yes i got a .222 and the cops was zero. me and my friends don't drink period. the only thing i drank that night was pumpkin spice (a new hot drink like hot chocolate.) ill be posting about pumpkin spice right after this. how can ones alcohol level be .222. i never got arrested but left with a warning. this happened in Nolan texas. i think there shouldnt be any problem with my current alcohol level.

My breat test on road was 39 on macine 40 & 41 my blood sugar was 25.5. what effect of sugar on alcohol count? My breath was tested on roadside was found to be 39. I was taken to the Police station and breath tested on machine twice readings were 41 and 40 but certain parameters were set on the machine manually by Police oicer each time. My blood was taken or lab analysis and a spot blood sugar test was done it read 25.5 as apposed to a normal level of 5. Is there an effect of high blood sugar on measurement or level of alcohol in my blood sample? If so what?
Open alcohol violation after OWI-need lawyer? My friend was on probation for OWI for about three months and then gotten pulled over for open alcohol. He wasn't intoxicated but did have a drink (registered some alcohol on breath test). What will happen? Please, no "shouldn't have done it, should know better" type of answers. This fact is definitely not in dispute. The OWI happened in one city and the open alcohol happened in another city, both incidences occured in Michigan. He has a court date in the one city for violating probation and another court date in the second city for the open alcohol. Should he get a lawyer? I don't know much about the law, but I would have guess that he would just have one court date, for violating probation, not both. If it's pretty black and white, are there a lot of benefits to getting a lawyer? What are some realistic possibilities of the consequences for my friend? Thank you.
drugs and alcohol? the company which i work is implementing drugs and alcohol procedure, non random testing, testing is only done under suspicion. alcohol - testing is done by two breath test done twenty minutes apart, ie against mouth wash etc. drug - a urine pregnanacy like test is used to provide a first hand test if positive the sample is taken away for further test by an outside agency. which they say are indisbruteable. they say they will inform the police if you refuse alternative means to get you home and use your own vehcile. They are following all legal laws. i have many questions to ask, but what would you ask them?
if you drink alcohol the night before would you be over the limit to drive in the morning? I'm a green P plater in NSW Australia, and as most would know unable to have any alcohol and drive. If I drink the night before and drive in the morning (allowing at least 12hrs from my last drink) would I be okay to drive and blow 0.00 at a breath test if stopped. I'm not talking about getting drunk just having 2 or 3 drinks over the space of a few hours (at night), leaving 12hrs then driving in the morning

"(The Driver), 42, from Alcester, gave a breath test reading of 201 micrograms per 100 millilitres of alcohol. The legal limit is 35 micrograms." In the U.S. we measure blood alcohol content as a percentage. The legal limit for driving is .08 percent (eight ten thousandths of your blood is alcohol). .20 to .30 readings are not uncommon for real drunk people, .40 and over gets very dangerous. I am puzzled by the measurements used in the story. Micrograms of what per millilitres of alcohol. Shouldn't that be "millilitersof blood"?

What is the difference between..? What is the difference between a alcohol breath test and a medical alcohol test? With the breath test the guy who killed my cousin had a .349, but medically it was only .249. What is the difference? Also, how does someone who killed someone, while driving drunk, only get 8 years in prison? Shouldn't he get life in prison since he took someone else life? It just doesn't make sense to me.
How does Chlorphenamine Maleate react with alcohol and would taking both affect a police breathalyser? is there anything that effectively removes/covers up alcohol breath? it should at least pass the sniff test
