What should be expected in a probationary drug/alcohol test? I recently got put on probation and have to submit to random alcohol/drug tests. I don't undestand what it means when they say alcohol test either. I'm a college student and unfortunately I'm not of age to drink but it's hard not to occasionally when I'm surrouned by it all the time. I have been freaking out because I don't know what is going to happen. If I do drink how long will the alcohol stay in my system? How in depth are these tests? I will be 21 in a couple months and I don't need to drink either so please don't judge me. I'm just a college student and I like to have fun and sometimes enjoy drinking. I'm just worried that I will drink and then get busted by this test. Any info or advice or anything will help me out but please don't judge or give answers telling me that I don't have to drink. I already know I don't have to but I like to every once in a while so please just straight forward answers or advice please. Thanks.

Serious question:Shouldn't we drug and alcohol test ALL government officials on a regular and random basis? Every job I ever applied for required a drug test and none of them nearly as important as being a Congressman or President. If it's so damn important (and legal) why don't government officials require the same standard for themselves? It's voluntary in the sense that if you want the job you take the test. Once certain employers hire you random tests become mandatory (ask any truck driver, police officer, football player, etc).
