Do we as adults and parents have no self control? I just read on the internet that a company is now selling a home test that checks breast milk for alcohol. I can understand wanting to go out with friends and get a drink, but do we really have that small amount of self control? Can we not sacrifice for our children? Aren't they worth everything? I am on probation in Michigan for possesion of marijuana, drinking is a violation. How is this monitored? I would never drive after drinking but I occasionally go out with my friends and have a few beers. I live very close to a downtown area and always walk to the bar if I go. My assumption is they will test when I meet with my probation officer. Any idea if they give random tests? I am obviously done with Marijuana and have no problem submitting to drug tests but am I concerned they might just call me some night and ask me to submit random alcohol test. Should I be concerned about a drug test? I don't do drugs. Never have, I've never even held a joint. I drink maybe 12 beers/year. I have been out of work for a few weeks, and have been picking up little side-jobs (painting/home improvement) to get by. UA alcohol testing , why? Ok, Ive read all 384 previously asked questions that were about UA tests. None answered my questions..... Heres the facts. I got a DUII in Oregon ( tough state!!) . it was deserved, though I can HONESTLY say I feel strongly against drunk driving, and the last time was over 13 years ago in my stupid bar hopping days. Im on diversion , and part of that requires that I stay sober for 90 days. Can I? I know I can. Save money too LOL. But it just seems so Orwellian ( big brother) to me. So....why am I required to not drink at all, as I AM an adult....and hey, its not against the law. Drug Test Question - Do you think I passed? I gave up smoking pot mid 2008. About 2 months ago I got drunk and hit the pipe over at a friend's place... and then again 10 days ago. I regretted the inebriated decision the next morning (so spare me the lectures). Yesterday I was given a random drug test at work (so 9 days after the incident). I would normally admit defeat, but after I was told I smoked it up the day after, I freaked out and bought 4 First Check drug tests. Took the first one on day 1... clearly failed it. Drank water all week and tried to stay active. Exactly 1 week after the smokage (7 days) I took the second drug test first thing after waking up... passed it with a strong result. I continued to drink lots of water which I typically do anyway, and just my luck at day 9 I was randomly tested. I've done plenty of research and it seems I may stand a chance. I'm 5'9'' and weigh about 165. I've got a gut, but am not a hefty guy. I've read that one time use is completely out of the system in 2-3 days. I also got terribly sick around day 6 and had diarrhea all night long (don't know if this is a plus). After being tested I rushed home and took the 3rd test... strong pass. 4th test first thing this morning... also strong pass. This will be the worst week of my life in that "no news is good news" and I'm sure I'll have heard something before the weekend if my test returned a positive result. My concern is that I’m passing the home tests with a diluted sample, or I gave them a diluted sample at the real test triggering a more rigorous test. I had drank about 64 ounces of water before the test 5 hours after waking. I’m giving up alcohol by the way. It’s the best way to victimize one’s self.

Could i sue for being left at a car scene to walk home when later to find out i could of died in my sleep? about 2 years ago, i crashed my car into a rock, i blacked out. I dont have a past of it, but i did for unknown reason. When police and fire and ambulance arrive, i told them i blacked out, and crashed. I also told them my head hurt really bad. Well they left me at the scene to walk home...... Walking home i had a baddd headache, went home to it to get worse, and worse and i got super tired. My gf later took me to the hospital and they said my brain was swollen, and the fluids were at a high level, they also said if i would have went to sleep, there was a high chance i would have gone into coma and died. And i had to undergo surgery?? ill call it, they had to drill a hole in my head to put a tube in to my brain to lower fluid levels and spent 3 or 4 days in ICU. So i ask, if i get a copy of my hospital records on it, can i go and sue the ambulance company being i could have died? I also did complain at the scene of my head hurting alot and the paramedics didn't even look at me! He had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.32, according to a Breathalyzer test administered by police. Under state law, a motorist is considered to be driving while intoxicated with a level of 0.08 or higher. Mathews, a 2003 Howard High School graduate based at Camp Pendleton, Calif., had come home for the holidays and was on his second date with Bower when the crash occurred. He had finished serving eight months of duty in Iraq in 2005 and was due to leave the military this year. My family member just tried to cheat a drug test? I just found out that my sister-in-law had a random drug screening in one of her classes. It's like an AA class only it's mandatory for people who got a DUI. Well they randomly drug/alcohol tested this morning and she freaked because she had some beers last night. So she ran home really quickly with out them noticing and got some of her dogs urine and turned it in. I'm scared she's going to go to jail if they find out, what are the chances of her getting caught? I don't know how she got it from the dog, I just know that she did it. Can an officer enter a home when a minor open the door? An officer had been called to my house because of some noisy teenagers in front of my house. Apparently they were friends of my oldest daughter and had been drinking. The officer rang our doorbell and when my youngest daughter opened the door, the officer stepped in and as my wife approached him, he demanded to see her drivers license and started accusing her of distributing alcohol to minors. My oldest daughter wasn't even with these group of kids and when she told the officer that he was wrong, he put her in hand cuffs. She was the only person to be placed in hand cuffs and she was not even with these kids. When everyone was given a breathalyzer test, my daughter was the only one to blow a 0.0. Saliva test, am I safe? I have a saliva drug test tomorrow for the hospital. I shared a small joint with a friend 29 days ago, tomorrow is day 30. re:pregnancy test PLEASE HELP..? My friend has missed two periods and took two Asda home brand pregnancy tests in the afternoon which both came up positive on Sunday . The next day she took a clear blue with her first morning urine sample which came up negative and then another one of a double ESK cheap testing pack which also came up negative. Again today she took the second test at about 11am to the last one she did which again came up negative. Now she had an alcohol problem but had cut right down to two can a day up until she done the first test where she stopped all alcohol. She has now stopped drinking all together. Glad of that as there are big risks to baby otherwise. Her periods are like clockwork so it seems odd. There are no signs of misscarrage. Military Drug Test Question? Ok, so i've asked a lot of people, but no one seems to really know the detection periods of marijuana. I smoked marijuana on and off for about a year ( I know it's a stupid and pointless drug, but I was young and made some mistakes so please no one flame me for it). I decided I wanted to join the military and quit smoking about two months ago. Altough 3 weeks ago I was at a party and the alcohol imparied my decsion. I was with a friend back from Iraq, and he convinced me that I would be fine...so I smoked. I took my drug test at the MEPS center yesterday, having a 20 day break from any marijuana, and a 60 day break in which I barley smoked (described above). I mountain bike frequently (2-3 times a week) and consume, a half gallon of water every time I bike. I also run 2-3 times a week for two miles, and consume a lot of water. The week prior to taking my test I drank about 3 gallons of water. I also passed two of those take home drug tests from walmart. I get my results on Thursday, but I'm really stressing out about it. do you guys think I passed? Will I Pass or Fail This Drug Test? (details on my situation)? so i bought an at home drug test today from walgreens to see whether or not id fail. this drug test says 99.9% accurate and i have read its not too much different from drug screening done at clinics/etc. i passed the at home drug test and tomorrow i have to take a lab drug screening to be documented for things which are irrelevant.. very skinny (124 pound healthy male and 5 foot 9 inches tall).. haven't smoked in about a week and only took a few hits.. ive been drinking water (which really doesnt help for anything.. just dilutes urine) and i have an extremely fast matobolism.. not to count i take vyvanse (ADD medicine) daily, so high heartbeat daily and speeding daily. im pretty confident in passing this test.. just need a few second opinions - not the classic "dont do drugs" cause marijuana is not a "drug" and is less harmful that alcohol or that big mac you shove down your throat daily! Is there a way of testing for alcohol allergy or intolerance? ? A little while ago I stopped drinking. Not for any moral reasons I just didn't really enjoy it. the thing is though about a year after when I had alcohol again it made me feel very ill. If I even have a sip of wine it feels a lot like an allergic reaction; dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea, hypotension etc. It's getting quite annoying as all I want is to have the occasional glass of wine but I can't even do that anymore. I'm terrified of drinking when I'm not at home in case this happens and people think I'm hammered drunk. I have been reading about alcohol intolerance and my doctor also thinks this is what it is although she didn't test. I know certain allergies can be tested for but is there a way of testing for alcohol specifically? It's not a yeast thing either she ran a coeliac test on me

Can alcohol cause you to start? So I was having sex using the unreliable pull out method for quite some time. My period was under a week late and I took a home pregnancy test. It was negative. I still didn't have my period after two weeks had passed. I never took a second test. Well two nights ago I drank. Within an hour of my first drink my stomach started hurting something awful. I started to spot and by the next morning I was having extremely heavy bleeding and pain. I'm just curious as to why I started only after drinking and if there is a possibility I could have had a bad home test. I feel kind of stupid asking, because all common sense tells me negative means negative, but I am afraid I took it too early and drinking caused a miscarriage or something.

How can cop say failed all sobriety tests when never gave me breathalyzer or blood test? How can I be charged in a civil court for driving under the influence when the cop never gave me a breathalyzer test & when the blood test came back; there was no prohibited alcohol or drugs in my blood? I had taken 2 sleeping pills that always took over 3 hours to take effect. This was per doctor's instructions. These pills were only taken 2x per week & over a period of 6 months always took 3 or more hours to take effect. Took the pills on the way home from an obligation & within an hour fell nodded off at the wheel; was involved in an accident with minor injuries. I had just lost a beloved family pet the day before and went almost a whole night without sleep because of it & the stress involved. The DA did not criminally charge me, but did charge me civilly with 'driving under the influence'. If there was NOTHING in my blood per the Dept. of Trans., the pills never affected me until 3 or more hours after taking them under doctor's orders over 6 mos.how can I be charged with DUI?

Blood alcohol level and eating...? Say you had a night out at the bar and now you have to drive home. If you eat something, will it lower your blood alcohol level so that you test lower if you are pulled over? Or does eating just make your blood alcohol level stay at a high rate for a longer amount of time? What effect does eating have when you are drunk?
