How long does it take for H Pylori breath test results? My specilalist says 1-2 weeks. Is it not possible for them to give me the result back straight away? Isn't all they have to do measure the urea levels or something like that? Surely that is an almost instant process?

h pylori breath test negative but still have the symptoms!? hello im 24yr old male, i was diagnos with h pylori through a blood test about 2 1/2 months ago, went through 3 weeks of antibiotics and was still suffering the same abdominal pain, lost about 20-30 pounds in that 2 months period. Did a Breath test couple of days ago and test came out Negative on the H pylori, I Feel a little better than 2 1/2 months ago, but still have the same stomach pain, these are my symptoms: -stomach pain that Wakes me up middle of the night hurting, i have to kind of massage it to feel a little better. -Sometime I feel bloated after a meal, I eat raw and cooked veggies, carrots, brocollis,bean sprouts,cabbage, lettuces, white rice(lol Im asian) , lean meat( chicken breast, sometimes fish) -Constipated, bowel movements are just once every other day, eventho i eat alot. -Burning feeling inside stomach during morning, day, night (just depends, it might just be at night, or morning for couple of hours, it varys) -Neck pain, and mindgrain at night during sleeping hours... -Pain on left ribcage that goes to the side of left ribs. -and urinate quite often, seems like i cannot hold the water i drink for long. But urine color is light yellow to almost clear sometimes. could this be signs of something else that's making my stomach hurt like this?

How long does it take to approve a test like Breath test for h pylori by an insurance company like Aetna HMO? My husband was asked by the gastro specialist to do a breath test for h pylori bacteria, a little more than a month ago. I called his doctors office and his medical network and for almost a month they kept telling me that they had not recieved the request from the doctors office. After blaming each other the test was finally approved but was approved for the wrong hospital as that hospital does not conduct that test. The person handling the case at the doctors office is really mean and just is not cooperating. She even went to the extent of saying its just a breath test and it is not very serious. Do you think I should send a written complaint to the doctor abt his staff's handling of the problem. Now They say that they have re-submmitted the papers to the insurance network. I took one of those SIBO/H. Pylori Breath tests at the hospital and threw up...? They gave me that sugary solution to drink and after 15 minutes I tossed the cookies. The test was for H. Pylori or SIBO, not fructose intolerance, but I am wondering if there's a chance I could be. I took the breath test because I am constantly bloated and crampy, with a pain on the left side of my tummy, 3 inches below my belly button.

Negative breath test but still have symptoms..? I did my second breath test for h.pylori after doing another round of antibiotics, and it came back negative. I am still having the symptoms that I've always felt. Any chance breath test could be wrong? I did stop taking my PPI 2 weeks before test so for sure that didnt interfere with results. I did eat that day and I'm pretty sure it was more than 4 hours before the test..

Can Acid Reflux cause your mouth, teeth, and gums to hurt????? I have really bad soreness in my mouth, gums, and teeth. I wouldn't say it is excruciating pain, just feels real sore like someone has punched me in the mouth. Will probiotic bacteria(friendly bacteria) affect the urea breath test results? I just took my urea breath test (a test to detect the presence of H.pylori). I was told that I couldn't take antibiotics, antacids or soft drinks before the test. But they didn't mention about probiotic bacteria. I had a probiotic bacteria pill before the test. My son was diagnosed with H Pylori in 04, can he ever get rid of this? My son had an endoscopy in 04, and the biopsied results showed h pylor. We were to go have a breath test done a year alter to see if it was active,(he took antibiotics for a while), and ddnt make it. At his next apopintment they told us it wasnt neccesary. Dr Frank, Please Answer If Possible. (Helicobacter Pylori)? Im aware that Dr Frank is becoming quite popular. He answered one of my previous questions and helped me a lot so that is why this question is directed at him but anyone else is more than welcome to answer, it would be greatly appreciated :). I'm 16 years old, i was recently diagnosed with Helicobacter Pylori by blood test and treated with triple therapy. However, the pain in my abdomen recently came back and is now worse and on both sides. I went for a breath test for H.Pylori and a few weeks later it came back negative. This was not the result i was hoping for as i am now in the dark as to what is causing my stomach ulcer or if it is even an ulcer at all. P.s another symptom i am experiencing is constant thirst that i find extremly difficult if not impossible to quench and if i do manage to quench it, i become thirsty about a half hour later but, i dont really go to the toilet that much. What to do about ongoing abdominal pain? I have had ongoing abdominal pain, been scoped and the diagnosis is gastritis. I'm still going to see the and he has scheduled me for an h pylori breath test (already had the blood test and it was + for h pylori, did 3 weeks of hpac antibiotics) anda lactose tolerance test. I'm in canada so I cannot have these tests done for months (waiting list) I'm also missing alot of work and am fearful of losing my job (mechanical engineer) I feel so lousy and am in pain, what can I do? H pylori? wierd symptoms!!!? HI, Im 16 years old male ITs been a couple of months Ive been extremly fatigue. Worst in the mornings when i wake up. I wake up with body aches and joint soreness. What is wrong with me? What should I do? I am spitting alot of my saliva out,recently. I never used to like spitting.But now I have to, because it would make me feel sick if I swallowed it. Was on Pantoprazole for around 2-3 months & stopped the other day but have constant chest pain? I had to stop taking it because i am getting an H Pylori breath test in the hospital to see if i still have it and you have to stop ppi's 2 weeks prior to it. I am desperate to go back on them this is hell. My chest hurts every single time i eat or drink. It is constant heaviness and pain when i breathe in and out, in the middle of my upper chest above my breasts. and it hurts all the time but more so when i eat or drink. I have also refluxed a few times and i am so weak and dizzy all the time, i am only off antibiotics for a sinus infection, and i have a fungal infection under my arm which has reared its ugly head again. I have had one for months on end and it just won't clear up. Is this normal or should i go to my doctor?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome or H. Pylori issues? Back on May 18th, I experienced the worst pain in the world. Its right below my right breast and hurts to the point I can't move. I went to the ER and was told they have no diagnosisand that it was probably acid reflux. On June 8th I had to leave work in tears because the same exact pain was back. This time I went to the Dr's office instead. I already had all lab worked done at the ER and a sonigram. At the Dr's office she got my sonigram results, lab work, x-raysT, and breath test. Throughout this time, I always have this uncomfortable and more moderate than severe pain. I am still awaiting the breath test results to come back to determine if its H. Pylori. I did some research online and I have all the symptoms of IBS. I'm starting to lose faith in the Dr's...its been over a month with no explaination. What do you guys think?

H. pylori and abdominal problems for 6 months? i have had the h pylori disease for 6 months but wasn't diagnosed with it until last month. i know it had been 6 months because i remember hurting all the way back since february or march. i was given pills to take for 2 weeks, but dropped a few and forgot to take a pack. so they had me take a breath test and blood test to see if i still had it, but i've yet to get a phonecall. they also did a urine test because i was afraid of my pancreas. that and my blood came out fine. i had a gallbladder ultrasound last month but didn't get the results back so it must've been fine and i don't hurt there when eating greasy foods. my family told me if i had an ulcer it would hurt a lot from the fries and such that i eat, but i'm fine when eating those so i must not have one. but i was wanting to know if h pylori could develop into stomach cancer if i've had it as long as 6 months.

When does H. Pylori end? To make a long story short, I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with H. Pylori because I was really dizzy and nauseous all the time. I took a breath test and it came out positive so they prescribed the prev pac treatment..it seemed to be working other than making me gag occassionally. I had to take it for 2 weeks they said, or the symptoms would return. I stopped taking it 2 days ago because I already finished it. Many health questions about H Pylori? i have had h pylori for 5 months. i took pills for it last month for 2 weeks, but didn't take every single pill so they had me take a breath test where i have yet to get the results as if i still have it or not. but i am in pain and hurt. i have headaches and am very fatigue. i am 17 and am scared that i have stomach cancer or pancreatitis or pancreas cancer. can you tell me if h pylori can make me have any of these things? my doctor drew my blood and did a urine test and told me my pancreas was fine and that if i had pancreatitis that i would hurt all around my abdomen and back and i would have bruising in the front. but i am worried about pancreas cancer since i heard soda pop is linked to it and i drink it everyday (about 4 cans last year, but have narrowed it down to 1 a day). and now i drink strictly water. and if i get an ulcer because of h pylori, can i get treatment for it and get rid of it? because i am freaking that i may get stomach cancer.

TO ALL THOSE SUFFERING FROM BAD BREATH HOPE THIS HELPS? First I am a 22 year old guy in a nursing school. My first semester was fine and didnt have any issues with my course mates, had the freshest breath and could even talk face to face with students and tuitors without any problem for hours but then toward the end of the semester i started to develope bad breath even after I have brushed my teeth. It was so annoying that I will brush my teeth for 3 minutes and immediately i get to school and start a conversation people will start moving backwards or holding their nose. I was really worry about that because with a nice tic tac the problem will be solved and I will be back with fresh breath. Then I took a zoloft for depression and some antibiotic for the bad breath hoping to cure it but rather aggravated the issue. The stinky breath started eminating from my nose which made life a hell for me. I didnt no how bad it was but I could smell a whole room. As soon as I entered the class people will start coughing, holding their noses, breathing very hard that i could here. Then nobody wanted to sit beside me in class and I mean it was very heartbreaking. I believed the same people I had fun with during the first semester probably were saying this guy doesnt brush his teeth or is not hygeinic whatever. I was very depressed to the point that I had to drop out from school because I couldnt take the emberassment no more, EVen at clinicals the nurse instead of showing me around and teaching me whats goes on in a real hospital will instead take my fellow students and leave me behingd. I then went to see an ENT who said it was coming from my tonsils so I had a tonsilectomy which cost $8000 and still didnt have any cure. AT this point I had droped out of school, getting ready to quit my work and totally isolated from the society and spent over $9000 to cure the problem. One day was searching the internet for courses of bad breath and I came across H pylori as a culprit so I visited a gastroenterologist, had another H pylori test, tested positive again and I was prescribed PREVPAC AND PRILOSEC which I was suppose to take for aout 16 days. After taking the medication for about 5 days I started seeing some improvement on my breath. On the sixth day I went to work had a full conversation with out any reactions and the people who use to give me those reaction even got closer to my face and started talking to me like before I had the problem. Finally I have the cure and I think reason why most people dont get cured early is because the doctors dont know the real cause of the bad breath. My antinuclear antibodies are high...does anyone know if h. pylori can cause this or what else could? I had some blood tests done because of numerous symptoms I have been having. Those being: fatigue (feeling drained not sleepy), numbness and tingling in my hands and fingers, moodiness/irritability, rapid weight gain (21 pounds in three months or less), increased appetite with cravings (like sweets sometimes and other times salt...just straight salt), weakness (I am normally a very strong woman for my size...I work in my yard, moving limbs and railroad ties, sling a pick axe, lift heavy items...fifty pound bags...for flower gardens,etc). Now I feel too weak to pick up my daughter and my six month old German Shepherd pulled me down, flat out on a walk the other day. I also tire easily...walk up the short hill of my driveway and am a little winded...not like I've run a mile but just like I have to take a deep breath or two. My hair is also falling out quite a bit...not the normal loss. I just have no energy. I have been tested for h. pylori but the result are not back yet. These antinuclear tests came back Friday and they want me to come back in Monday for further tests so I'm wondering if it could be h. pylori causing the elevated levels. I have no history of heart disease in my family. My dad has a B-12 absorption problem and that's about it. I don't smoke, never have and I might have a glass of wine a few times a year. However there is another problem that causes bad breath.. It is called " H. Pylori " it is a little nasty bacteria that lives in the Pylorus (at the bottom) of your stomach it also cause ulcers which can lead to stomach cancer, and this is what causes bad breath. What you need to do is go to your doctor and ask them for a test for H. Pylori, they will ask you to come in the morning before eating anything, this will be sent to a lab which will tell you if the bacteria is present. If it is, you will get a round of antibiotics and NO MORE BAD BREATH! This has helped many people so just ask your GP!!!!

Any home remedies for stomach ulcer? Hi, there. I recently finished taking the 14 day medications for H. Pylori bacteria that caused a duodenal ulcer (ammoxicillan, clarithromyacin and nexium). I finished the treatment about 3 weeks ago. For a while I didn't have any pain, but I'm also taking an NSAID called Lodine for arthritis, and it's known to irritate anyone's stomach ,especially someone who's had an ulcer, so the Dr. had me continue the Nexium along with the Lodine. The Lodine has really irritated the ulcer anyway. It's not in my stomach but in my upper left chest in my esophagus. After taking the Lodine for 3 weeks (I started it the day I finished the antibiotics), these past couple days the ulcer has felt awful. I can't get in to see the Dr. for over a week. They told me to stop the Lodine if it hurt, which I will, but I still need to do something to heal the ulcer. Does anyone know of any home remedies for ulcer relief? I'm so scared that there's major damage. I took another breath test for H. Pylori after finishing the treatment but haven't heard back yet on the results, so I'm not sure whether or not the bacteria is still present. Why I've had a distended abdomen for years? Hi, My name is Julian and I've had a distended stomach since I was 11 (I'm now 19.) I developed acid reflux, chronic heartburn, nausea, vomiting, uncomfortable fullness after meals, diarrhea, constipation, and inflamed small intestines (at the age of 17.) Is there something wrong with me? i had these two tests the other days and i have an appointment with the doc tomorrow, but i really need to know if something is wrong with me, please people, don't answer if you're not 100% sure. the first test was (H. pylori antigen in stool.) and its result says "positive: the detection of the cytotoxin producing helicobacter pylori which causes gastric complictions is recommended - Urea breath test and/or helicobacter pylori antigen in stool are recommended to monitor therapy and to detect eradication." and the second one was for (stool examination), and its result says "few entamoeba histolytica cysts".

upper left abdominal discomfort, slight nausea, dyspnea. Struggling to be diagnosed.? I am a 24 year old male and for the past couple of months I have had pain/discomfort in my upper left abdomen, below the rib cage, about 2 or 3 inches from center. Within the past month or so I have also been experiencing what I assume is dyspnea (I don't have any stuffiness, but I don't feel like I get enough oxygen with each breath). Also I have noticed a lack of energy, loss of appetite, and sometimes mild headaches. I believe my stools are normal and doc says my blood pressure and pulse are good. Urine tests are fine. I have an office job and sit most of the day, but try to get out and walk my dog at least a few times a week for 20 mins at least. I have been to a walk-in clinic, a primary care doctor, a gastroenterologist, and a urologist. I have had what was described as a complete blood work package done (CBC at least three times, thyroid, organ functions, anemia, etc). I was also tested for H pylori and other things. All test have not shown anything worrisome. I had my chest xrayed a couple months ago when I first got symptoms and nothing showed up. I had a CT done of my abdomen last month and the only thing they found was an inflamed duodenum. My primary care doc and gastro. both felt around my abdomen and said everything seemed normal. I took prilosec per my doctors advice and nothing improved. I have currently been on nexium for about 2 week and some of the symptoms (nausea, ab pain) seemed to have gotten a little better but not completely. The dyspnea is a newer symptom and that hasn't improved. I am assuming it has something to do with my inflamed duodenum, but with the h pylori test negative I am wondering what else it could be. My gastro. is giving me an upper GI endoscopy and a flexible sigmoidoscopy next week, but this weekend i will be going on a vacation i planned last fall and it will be somewhat physically demanding. I am just trying to flesh some of this out so i dont worry all weekend. Any ideas?

SOMETIMES not always but when i take a deep breath under right shoulder blade kinda hurts. I have gone and had gallbladder ultrasound done and they said it was normal. I had an H-pylori test where they check for cancer causing bacteria and it was normal, and they also checked my liver, kidneys, sodium , red blood cells and white and all of this was normal. Oh and everytime i take deep breath or stretch my back seems to be always popping. I guess I am hoping for a little piece of mind before i go to dr again. I have had 2 EKGS done in last 6 months I have been checked for HIV when I had both of my kids they automatically do it when your pregnant and Its negative. 7 month old bad breath? Hey, Im just a little concerned and thought i'd ask here in case im over reacting. Tonight i noticed that my son who is 7 months old, that his breath smells really weird. It smells like a sick persons breath or like stale food. I had a test 2 months ago and had a low positive for h.pylori bacteria which has been treated. Could this have passed onto him? If the doctor thought this was a possibility would he need to ahve the blood test like i did? Im really worried.He has 2 teeth at the moment and is teething again.

Stomach Ulcer or not? For about a year now I have had on and off stomach pain on my side under the breastbone. About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with Helicobacter Pylori through a blood test. I was treated with Triple therapy, i had 2 antibiotics and omeprozole for a week. But, recently the pain came back and i ignored it but it got worse so i went back to the doctors. They said they can't do a blood test again so next friday i am going for a breath test. Heres the thing: I occasionally get very sharp pains going through to my back and it hurts to breath and to move, this lasts for a few minutes and only happens about once a week. I also have slight dull pains that i had about a year ago on the other side now... Does this mean that i have more than one ulcer and if so why are they going to treat it the same way they did before if that clearly didn't work? Also is it even an ulcer that is causing the pain? Ive read that about half of the population have H.Pylori.. could it just be a coincidence that i have this and whatever is causing the pain? Thanks for your help in advance. A few things that i forgot to include. -A few months ago i had bloody stools for a few days. -I have just turned 16 years of age. -Today the pain was almost unbearable, im worried that if i have to wait for my appointment 2 weeks on Friday, that the pain will get worse, i am on Omeprozole just now but it offers no relief of the pain what-so-ever. Librax Helps.. But what am I suffering from? I was diagnosed with H.pylori infection. Undergoes triple dosage therapy Was tested negative in a Urea Breath Test 1 month later when I completed my therapy. Somehow, the discomfort below the sternum is back. (GERD). Feel nausea all the time I seen my doctor. She told me my Urea Breath Test is negative. It shouldn't be H. Pylori bacteria. Then she prescribed omeprazole, domperidone for me. Things didn't turn out well though it keeps my nausea under control. One day I tried taking librax with omeprazole but without domperidone. Wow, I feel so much better. I don't feel acid burning but I feel there is something there instead. On another day, I just took omeprazole without librax. I could feel the acid burn. I realised librax help to relieve my discomfort. Any suggestion what I suffering from? Should I continue with librax and omeprazole since it relieve my pain? This is not a doctor presciption.

B chronic. also exams result as: X-Ray (Pulmonory venous pressure and/or lung disease), CT (mosaic attenuation pattern) other CT (mosaic perfusion), Ultrasound (enlarged liver), blood hep. B and H. Pylori, Stress test (normal), EKG (normal) Now: another blood test - alt 85 and ast 48 (what is that means in this situation? My symptoms: upper abdominal chest pain (severe) with swollen on my lef side under the rib cage. Chest and back pain radiating toward lower back with some symptoms of cramp. Deep mid chest towards left pain and lack of breath (breating seems to be normal but with difficult) and tiredness. after 4 weeks of ulcer treatment can i drink? hi people..i was under treatment for h pylori for 4 weeks now (2 antibiotics and ...esomeprazole ;) and eating only steamed food, i was very regular) so yesterday the doctor said the urea breath test was negative no more bacteria. so my question is, in 4 weeks the ulcer is completly healed? and after these 4 weeks can i drink alcohol for small quantities like 4 glasses in weekend? Why is my stomach hurting? I have had stomach pains for about 2 months. It feels like a knife is stabbing into my sides and back. The upper part of my stomach always feels very full and kind of burning. The pain favors my right side and under my belly button. I frequently have nausea as well. I have been tested for H Pylori and it was negative. I do not have anything abnormal with my blood or urine. The pain gets up to about a 7 or 8 and I have to almost drop to my knees. The only thing that seems to relieve any pain is to tense up my stomach muscles and kind of hold my breath. Please help me if you have any advice or answers. The doctors are at a dead end.

Ok here is the deal i have had these symptoms for a while now, 8 months plus. i've been to the doctor and was checked for anemia, diabetes, all kinds of heart tests echo/24hr holster/ekg, breathing tests, lung ct scan, stomach ct scan.... ongoing problem for 14 months now! any suggestions? Hi, i am a 31 year old male living in the uk, 5foot 5 and 10 and a half stone, i have been suffering from kidney stones for the last 12 months and after 2 x-rays that did not show anything and 1 ultra sound that showed a small stone, then a ct scan was done and a stone was found in the lowwer part of the left kidney, it measured 12mm x 7mm.I had a session of lithotripsy to break the stone up and after a visit to the emergency department i managed to pass most of this stone and was told there is a few fragments left in the kidney, i went back for a 2nd session of lithotripsy but they said all the stones had gone??? but in the waiting process for this treatment my right side has been giving some pain which is nearly identical to the left side pain, i mentioned this to them at the 2nd lithotripsy session and they did an x-ray and ultrasound but NOT a ct scan(considering that was the only scan that showed the last stone??) and they said all was clear no stones and to go back to my gp for my pain???? so all this pain and waiting has now been 14 months, these are my symptoms: slight pain in left side,worse pain in right side, bloated stomach with slight pain in the top near the sternom erea,slight lower back pain, head ache, shortness of breath, depression spells. the test i have had done are: ecg, 24hour ecg, full blood count(came back platelets 147), and i have just sent of a stool sample for H pylori and im waiting for the results! can anxiety&depression be my problem? wel im just not 100% sure if my problems are anxiety related. I had asthma for about 3 years and took an inhaler to help me breath, at the time i was about 30-40 pounds over weight, i started to have breathing problems that was so intense that my inhaler didn't help much, i ended up in the ER 1 or 2 times. back in November 08' I had a stomach problem, couldn't eat any food other than rice and chicken soup. I did a blood test and doc said i have the H. Pylori bug thing going on and tested positive for ANA reflex but it showed no pattern, so i took some antibiotics and H2 blockers for awhile and it din't really do the job, then i went in for a Upper endoscopy and had a biopsy done, came back that i had a irratation on my stomach wall and a little hernia. I was prescribe Prevacid and took it for about 4-5 weeks and my stomach started to feel good. But then i got scared and nervous about the ANA test because it said something about Lupus, so i began to research about Lupus and found out all these crazy things about the symtomps and began to worry myself sick about it. My doc told me that it could be a false positive on the ANA test because i tested positive 3 times on the ANA test but negative on the pattern 3 times. But ever since then i just started to wonder if i really have it or not, sometime i think i might have it but then sometimes i think i dont have it. and it just kinda lead me to these stuffs: some nights I cant sleep My hands are kinda shaky, u can't see the shake, but u can feel it , and my heart has a harder pound than before, i get headaches and neck stiffness, like it's paralized or something my face also feels like it's all tense up, like that feeling u get on ur face during the day when u stayed up a whole night without sleeping. my focus isn't really there, seems like i space out or day dream alot i don't conversate much anymore, even with my kids i ignore what they ask me. Recently I have been saying "I don't know" so much, i dont remember saying those 3 words so much before in my life, it seems like my memory has gone bad or something. When i talk to people, i get a instant uncomfortable tense feeling of stiffness on back of my neck,head and face and it makes it hard for me to do the eye contact while talking, also a nervous feeling. my headaches are daily, it feels like migraines, tension headaches on both sides of my temple area, but mostly on my left side, it goes from the left side of back neck to the left temple area and sometimes it fels like pressure and sometimes it feels like a tight squeez. I was told by my doctor that i maybe suffering from anxiety and depression and prescribe me anti depressant pill Paroxotine(paxil) but of all the side effects and the stupid stuff u hear about what these drugs do to you, im very scare and nervous to use them. Im just clueless on what to do, i have been taking some natural remedies, but have seen no improvements, i really want to try the anti-depressant meds but im not sure if i should. this has been going on for about 6-7 months now. what can this be?

Nausea, weighloss, lump in throat feeling. What is wrong with me? Okay, I have been sick for more than a year now, and my doctors have no idea why. It all started after four rounds of antibiotics for tonsillitis. Here are my symptoms. I have no idea if any are connected. Nausea, comes and goes, usually worse at night, and sometimes after I eat anything. Loss of appetite, I cannot eat hardly anything. Acid reflux that comes and goes. Lump in throat feeling, usually worse at night and while lying down. Usually accompanied by nausea. Weight loss, I’ve lost 60lbs in 14 months without doing anything. It seems to be getting worse. Increased cold sensitivity, always cold. Hear flutters, comes at random times, usually short of breath and dizzy after. Bad sinus drainage, constant, worse at night. Random lymph node swelling in neck/jaw. Sometimes accompanied by faint ear and/or throat pain. Usually goes away within a few days. Abdominal pain, usually on the left side. A dull burning pain that comes and goes. Joint pain, mostly in left knee, no injuries. Hair loss. Tooth decay. Dizziness / near fainting when standing. Ringing in ears, usually after a dizzy spell. Vertigo that comes and goes. Easy bruising / unexplained bruising. Usually on knees and thighs. Eye pain, comes and goes. Headaches. Sinus pain. Unexplained sores on skin. Constipation and diarrhea. Comes and goes. Okay, now for the tests I’ve had done. Hida scan. – Normal. Ultrasound of uterus and gallbladder. – Normal. CT scan. – Showed what looked like inflammation of the large bowel. But was noted that it was probably due to the fact that I couldn’t drink all of the barium. Blood work. – I am not sure what all they tested for, but it all was normal. SED Rate. – Normal. Stool sample. – Normal, no h. pylori or any other bacteria. Tested for Celiac. – Negative. Tested for syphilis. – Negative. Endoscopy. – Normal, no signs of GERD, inflammation, ulcers or infection. Small bowel and stomach biopsies. – Normal. Okay, now the medication I’ve been on. Prevacid [ for nausea. ] – No help. Zantac [ for nausea. ] – Helped the nausea and acid reflux slightly. Nexium [ for nausea. ] – Helped quite a bit with the nausea and acid reflux. Flagyl [ for the suspected bowel inflammation. ] – Just made everything 20x worse. Stopped taking it after four days. Cipro [ for the suspected bowel inflammation. ] - Noticed no difference or side effects. Amitriptyline [ for a sleep aid. ] – Helped with sleeping, but left me dehydrated and produced a nasty taste in my mouth. I stopped taking it after 3 weeks. Amoxicillin [ replacement for Flagyl. ] – Noticed no difference or side effects. Zofran [ for nausea. ] – Helped tremendously, but I ran out. And now the medication I have taken on my own. Benadryl [ For sinus drainage and a sleep aid. ] – Works as a sleep aid, but doesn’t stop the drainage. I have become used to it, so now it has no affect what so ever. Pepto [ for nausea, acid reflux and lump in throat feeling. ] – Works for a little while. Has no affect on the lump in throat feeling. Multi vitamin [ for hair loss, joint pain and tooth decay. ] - No effect so far, but I’ve only been on it for 4 days. Over the counter acid reducer [ for nausea, acid reflux and lump in throat feeling. ] – Works the same as Zantac. No effect on the lump on throat feeling. Ginger [ for nausea. ] – Helps slightly. Probiotics – Made everything worse. Stopped taking after 4 days. Now for what I know I DON’T have. Celiac. Gluten allergy. GERD. Ulcers. Gallbladder disease. Gastritis. Hiatal hernia. H. pylori. Colitis. Medical history / conditions. Asthma. I’ve had it since I was 4. I use an albuterol inhaler. Allergies. I’m allergic to most animals, dust, certain metals, pollen and dander. I used to have chronic ear infections when I was growing up. I had my tongue clipped when I was 13. I had groin hernia surgery when I was 2. I’ve had pneumonia once. I’ve had tonsillitis. I used to be allergic to Eggs when I was 5. I am not anymore. No known allergies to any medication. I’ve had my right eardrum bust twice due to ear infections. This is ruining my life.........? male, 25 years old and skinny (been skinny all my life though). No drink or smoke and i was diagnosed with atopic eczema since i was little. I've been stressing a lot lately. For the past 4 months now (after a flu) i have some weird symptoms that are debilitating. Some are hard to explain. H. Pylori is the only thing doctors found after a series of blood tests, EKG, chest x rays, nuclear scans for the chest, and breathing tests. No asthma but the only doubtful thing was that i couldn't fully expire all the air out. I'm seeing a respiratory specialist and he's still trying to figure out what's wrong with me. He suggested it could be anxiety, a muscular disorder or lack of fitness or some kind of post-viral fatigue AKA fibromyalgia. He says he can hear a "whoosh" sound at the back but no sign of heart or lung disorders. He ordered some CT scans on chest now and fitness test. I spent the last 4-5 years sitting in front of the pc for long hours without taking needed breaks. Perhaps it's bad posture? Symptoms: * a shortness of breath that feels like having a book on top of my abdomen all the time. Gets worse on minimal exertion. * tightness along the left chest/rib wall ( gets worse when i lift up my left arm or try to walk straight, i have to bend forward) * pressure. I don't know where but it can happen in my head, stomach, back, left arm. * Lightheaded. Sometimes i feel i'm going to black out or pass out. * Weakness? Fatigue? sometimes i feel my whole body is going to paralyse. I'm doing something simple such as cooking and i start feeling weak and i have to sit down for 30-45 mins because i can't stay up. This affects my speech, swallowing, breathing etc. * i see my left rib cage kinda "swollen" all the time or is pushing outwards a bit * struggle to focus * struggle to relax, i feel tense most of the time * sore eyes * occasional headaches * easy to forget things * face feels hot all day, gets better at night. Movement such as travelling in a car can trigger the first 4 symptoms. It's not the usual nausea some people feel it's much worse and scarier than that. Sick for 3 months and no answers...help and/or advice? hey, guys. i'm hoping you can help me out. i'm a healthy female. i don't smoke, drink, do drugs, etc. there's no history of any illness in my family. but i've been sick for about 3 months, now going on four, and no one can tell me why or what's causing me to feel sick all the time. i started out having a constant pounding heartbeat, but then i just got sicker and sicker with a bunch of weird symptoms. i have all these symptoms CONSTANTLY! and my symptoms are: -pounding, hard, heavy heartbeat. -strange awareness of my own breathing and shorness of breath (feels like i don't get enough oxygen in my lungs). -painful sinus headaches, pain, and pressure -yucky, sore, swollen throat and a bad taste in my mouth (i don't think my throat is swollen, it just feels like it sick/swollen). -yucky, sick feeling in my stomach and stomach pains -irregular periods -ringing in ears it feels like i have a constant "flu' or something. could it be a sinus infection or something? i have had alot of tests done, and i think i'm going to get more. i have had my thyroid checked, my blood sugar, and i have had several blood tests and urinalysis tests done, too. i have also had 3 ultrasounds done of my heart, a stress test, 24 EKG (holtor monitor), and a breathing test done. those tests were done about a month ago, though. i hope i don't have anything serious, but the doctors only found one thing so far: h.pylori. i was diagnosed with an h.pylori infection. so i had to take ALOT of medication for about a month to get rid of it. maybe it came back. i don't think the h.pylori is what's making me sick...but maybe it is. i had to take 3 different pills 3 times a day for a month. but sometimes i wonder if i was even properly diagnosed. i suppose i was. i'm scared that i might have cancer, or lyme disease, or some really bad infection or disease somewhere in my body. but i don't have fevers, and i've never fainted. the doctors say i'm an extremely healthy female, but something is still making me sick. i think the problem is related to my stomach somehow. i think that's the source of my illness. me, my parents, and my friends are all getting frustrated and upset because i've been sick for a while, and since the docs haven't found anything (except the h.pylori), they think it's all "anxiety" and "stress". but i really don't think it is. my parents, my friends, and especially myself are all getting frustrated and upset because i've been sick for a while, and since the docs haven't found anything (except the h.pylori), they think it's all "anxiety" and "stress". but i'm going to get more tests done. a pelvic exam, an endoscopy, maybe an MRI, some more blood tests, and some more therapy. i just hope i have nothing serious. i just want to feel better. i don't want to be sick like this for much longer! no one wants to be sick. and it's really hard when people say it's all "in my head", and even if it was, the pain is still there and it's real. any thoughts, ideas, help or advice that anyone could give me about my condition? i know it's hard to make a diagnosis online, but any ideas as to what is making me feel sick ALL the time? thanks! =]

I have these horrible symptoms that won't seem to go away & no one can tell me why. - Constant pounding, hard, heavy heartbeat - Swollen, sore, yucky feeling throat - Weird breathing (I have an odd awareness of my own breath ALOT)... really weird... >< - Weird fluttery, uncomfortable "air" feelings in chest - Stomach pains & feeling like my stomach has acid in it - On & off urinary tract infections I was so sick & scared for months until the docs finally diagnosed me with an H. pylori infection. So I went on a round of 3 antibiotics that I had to take 3 times a day for a month. And the side-effects were not pleasant, lol!! I'm ALOT better than I used to be, but I still have these weird symptoms & it's hard for me to enjoy life now because they make me feel so uncomfortable. I cry everyday because of this. The docs say it's anxiety, and maybe it is. But that doesn't change what I'm feeling. I've had many tests done, including: - Several blood & urine tests - 3 Ultrasounds of my heart - 24 Holtor monitor - Stress test - Physicals - Endoscopy I'm going with my Dad over to the clinic tomorrow to talk with a doctor. I'm going to get a PAP Smear/pelvic exam I think & I got to find out my biopsy results (which I'm sure is fine because I think they would've called us if they found something serious). The cardiologist said I could live to 100 with the condition that my heart is in. He said I just need to train my heart & work it out a bit more. All the doctors say I'm a perfectly healthy normal girl. I'm attractive, healthy, & fit. I live in Germany, & I went with my parents to Amsterdam & before we left, we ate at some Chinese resteraunt... I had seafood. On the bus ride home I started feeling sick..Coincidence maybe?? I'm super glad they haven't found anything for me to worry about, but I STILL have these symptoms & they're just awful. But my heart pounds even when I just go up/down a flight of stairs, lol!! Doctors can't discover what's wrong with my stomach. Can anyone tell me? Doctors can't discover what's wrong with me. Can anyone tell me? My stomach always feels like someone is stepping on my diaphragm. My stomach feels so tight, that it is difficult to breath, and I experience the most difficulty breathing when I sit up straight, or am walking. I can only walk very short distances and am mostly bed ridden. Morning, noon and night, my stomach is extremely tight and I can hardly eat. When I do eat, my stomach feels like there is extreme pressure in my stomach and like the pressure is rising to my chest. This uncomfortable sensation usually lasts for5 to 7 hours after I eat. I've lost 40 lbs in the last two months, because of my inability to eat well. I feel like I'm dying. I've had everything from an HIV test to a hepatitis test. Luckily, all of which have had negative results. So far, I've had two endoscopies and both determined that there was no gastritis, esophagitis or h. pylori bacteria (which is usually associated with those conditions). I've had an ultrasound screening of my lower and upper abdomen performed; and I've also had a CT scan. Nevertheless, neither test uncovered any abnormalities. Has anyone ever gone through this, or known anyone who has gone through this? Can anyone please tell me what is possibly wrong with me? Am I dying? What are the doctors missing?

please help! sick, undiagnosed, and scared!? hey guys. i'm a 16 year old female, and i was always pretty healthy. i don't drink, smoke, do drugs, etc. but i've been really sick lately and no one can tell me why. it all started about 2-3 months ago. i started getting this constant pounding heart. it was really annoying. then i started getting sicker. i have really bad sinus pain and pressure in my head. my nose is always stuffed up. i have irregular periods, and i have to go to the bathroom alot more. my throat is yucky-feeling, extremely swollen, dry, and sore. i also have occasional ringing in my ears. it's so weird. i also have a strange awareness of my own breathing all the time. sometimes i'm short of breath and have to sigh and yawn alot. i was diagnosed about a month or so ago with h.pylori, but i don't think that's what's causing all my symptoms. i feel like i have this constant flu or illness ALL the time. i can't do much physical activity, and i have trouble eating. even when i'm hungry, i just feel like i can't eat. i also shake ALOT. everyone tells ne it's anxiety, but i seriously think something it's something else that's making me sick. i'm kinda worried. i'm going to the clinic next week for some tests and stuff (thyroid, lyme disease, blood sugar, etc.). i've also have had 3 ultrasounds/echo done on my heart, and some blood tests. everything was normal. see, my "illness" or whatever is really wierd. somedays i feel somewhat ok, then the next day or so i feel completely awful. i don't think i have anything life threatening or anything (at least i hope not!). and i think that my heart is probably fine, and that maybe it's just reacting or something. could i possibly have dysautonomia or chronoic fatigue syndrom? i'm NOT a hypochondriac. and anxiety MAY play a part of my "illness", but i'm still sick. i feel like i have a contsant "flu" or something. i just wish i at least knew what it was. i'm tired of being sick. i know it's hard to make a diagosis online, but does anyone have any thought, ideas, advice, opinions, etc., that might help me? any one have any idea as to what is causing all my misery. well, my grandpa was diagnosed with diabetes. i guess i will be checked for that also. thanks for the advice! p.s. i also forgot to mention that i don't have fevers, even when i feel like i do, and i've NEVER fainted or passed out. i also sweat alot more than usual. it's strange. but i only sweat alot under my arms. i feel so freakishhhhh!!!!!!!!! :( i also have irregular periods and one my big toes were really red and sore. one was hurting and painful, went away, and then the OTHER big toe had the same thing. really weird.

Can someone please give me some advice? I am living in the UK and I need some advice about what to do about my current health situation. I have been ill for over a year now with stomach/digestive problems. I was told I had H pylori and that was treated but I was never re-tested for it. My stomach problems remained after treatment and I was given various medications including lansoprazole and domperidone after the triple therapy for the h pylori seemed to fail. My pain started as sharp pains that felt like really extreme hunger pains and got worse when i ate. I was also getting some bad lower ab discomfort which they put down to IBS but I am not 100% convinced it's that. Since taking the domperidone the stomach pains that were sharp seemed to clear up but I am still getting lower discomfort. I was given blood tests and i tested positive on one thing for coeliac disease but the other thing they look for was negative so she pretty much dismissed that idea. The doctor did more blood tests but she seemed pretty much stumped and asked "so how much is this actually bothering you then?" and "what would you like me to do now?" If it wasn't bothering me a great deal I wouldn't have visited the doctor 10 times since september and paid for 9 different prescriptions! Also last night i got a really bad pain in my stomach that is worse than ever. I hurt so much I couldn't take deep breaths. It's still a little sore this morning and hurting occasionally but I just don't understand what it is. I am completely lost and don't know what to do. My doctor doesn't seem to be doing much to try and find out the cause except take blood samples and i've seen 7 or 8 different doctors about it so far because at my surgery you rarely get the same doctor unless you are willing to wait a while for appointments. Has anyone got any helpful advice on what I can do next because i feel like my doctor is giving up or even any ideas on what my illness could be due to past experience etc? My symtoms are: Lower ab discomfort, feels kinda sore Sharp stabbing stomach pains (recentl started again after a few weeks break) Loss of appetite Irregular periods Some days frequent use of the toilet but not diarrhea Bloating A horrible bile-like taste in the back of my throat Did you not even read my question!!! Thats all i have been doing for gods sake! I was looking for peoples esperiences and advice not a diagnosis or a smart **** comment! The doctor has done nothing except give me prescription after prescription for illnesses i dont even believe i have. I am so frsutrated. No one has even attemted to look at my actual stomach or anything to see what it looks like.

I am not quite sure as too what is goin on with me, all I know is I am starting to panic real bad and I am holding it in so my kids wont see. I have been for about 4-5 years had a slight sensation, more of a just very faint pressure about 1-2 in down under right breast and it kinda flows around to side, well past couple of months it seems to be more burning sensation, and occasionally like i have a pin pokin me in side. Now also my right shoulder blade seems to have a constant tingly sensation kinda like when your leg falls asleep, and that is running up into top of shoulder and into arm and also down side of my back. SOMETIMES not always but when i take a deep breath under right shoulder blade kinda hurts. I have gone and had gallbladder ultrasound done and they said it was normal. I had an H-pylori test where they check for cancer causing bacteria and it was normal, and they also checked my liver, kidneys, sodium , red blood cells and white and all of this was normal. Oh and everytime i take deep breath or stretch my back seems to be always popping. I guess I am hoping for a little piece of mind before i go to dr again. I have had 2 EKGS done in last 6 months I have been checked for HIV when I had both of my kids they automatically do it when your pregnant and Its negative. I have 9yr old, 8 yr old and 4 yr old.
