What is the accuracy of Home Drug test kits vs Job lab testing? First off Im sorry if your tired of seeing drug related Q's Im also tired of the US caring if your using marijuana just to fatten their pockets I hear its pretty accurate if you were negative with the home kit(99%) that you will be negative with the lab test at the facility your job sends you to but how true is this? Im looking for answers from people that have experience not assumptions.

Is it possible to pass 3 home drug test kits but fail the lab one? To make a long story short i applied for a few jobs and stayed clean. Would you give your child an at-home drug test? I've been hearing the commercial on the radio for the past few months about the at-home drug testing kit, and honestly I'm a little surprised that there's a market for this. I'm not naive, I know that drug use is more prevalent today than it has been in any decade past. I also realize that my son is only 3, so my views may change a lot 12 years from now. However, I would like to think that I will raise my son with enough trust in our relationship and my knowledge of him that I would know if he were on drugs, and be able to confront him about it instead of making him pee in a cup for me. To me, this seems like a horrible affront on a child's privacy. No, I don't believe that teenagers should be allowed to have "too much" privacy, but there are certain things that just shouldn't be done. If my parents had done this to me as a teenager, it would have completely shattered any illusion of trust between my parents and I. There wasn't much there to begin with, and I hope to have a much better relationship with my child than my parents did with me. If we ever got into a situation where I suspected he was on drugs and lying to me about it, there's obviously another problem that needs to be treated as well. I'd rather approach that problem and treat it together as a team, than attacking him and forcing drug tests on him in our home. The home should be a safety zone, where a child can feel comfortable and protected, not persecuted and attacked. That being said, I'm sure that there are situations I haven't thought of where a home drug test is acceptable, and maybe the best approach to a problem. What do you think? Do you disagree with home testing, or would you do this with your children?

Help interpreting at home drug test?? So... I used to be a drug addict...to make a long story short...up until about a month ago, I had given up everything BUT marijuana. Last month, I gave that up to (a VERY good decision). I interviewed for a job the other day and found out that I have to take a pre-hire drug test. So to make sure that the marijuana matabolites were out of my system, I took an at home 4-panel drug test (they were out of the marijuana tests). I read the instructions and it said that a negative result would appear as a pink to red line next to the control and drug. I'm confused..I think that I had a negative on everything...but is it just a coincidence that the drug line for marijuana is a faint pink and every other line is dark pinkish red? or is there still a traceable amount of marijuana matabolites in my system? I'm new to the home testing kits..so any help is appreciated... Thank you ahead of time!

I posted this a couple days before but have not received any feedback! Pleaseeeeeeee Help !!! I have a concern "Can anyone definitively say if the first check home test kit is truly accurate about the presence of faint lines vs. what a true lab test may identify?" My concern is for now 2011 since a lot of post I found are from 2006-2009. Has anything changed or upgraded at the labs to detect THC since ? Are test in labs in 2011 now more accurate or more sensitive than 2008 and 2009? My Lab test was at 3pm. I smoked 7-8 blunts within 17 days before my lab test. But the very last time was 7 days before the lab test yesterday. I drank massive water and cranberry juice 2 days before my Lab Test. On the day of lab test, I flushed starting 3 hours before the Lab Test (at 12pm) with Ultimate Blend 24 (which can be found at most smokeshops). I did the First Check Home kit test at 2:35pm and showed negative with very very faint lines. Since it was faint lines and the box stated that faint lines falls under "negative", I went ahead and Took the Lab Test at Quest Diagnostic at around 3:05pm. I then rushed home to do another Home Kit Test which then appeared completely negative at 3:45pm. So if it was faintly negative half hour before The Lab and then completely negative with solid lines 40 minutes later after the Lab test, is that safe to say that the Lab will detect a "Negative"? I haven't been called yet from the job after 2 days and I am worried sick. I do not want to lose out on the job opportunity. Please help me and let me know. Note: the urine left at Lab had enough color. It was not clear like water, therefore, urine color should not be an issue. Also, since urine did come from me, the urine was at right temperature, therefore, urine temperature should not be an issue either. Thank you Steve for your input. Can you believe that I have called tons of "online" drug test helpline services...and each and everyone of them has advised me that if it was faintly negative half hour before and solid negative half hour after, than that I have absolutely nothing to worry about. I know if I use my urine it will come up positive. If I test with water instead will it show up as a negative result? Or will it come up as an invalid result? So far I got: drink so much water I "piss & sh*t clear water" [as one person put it], drink alot of cranberry juice [but not by itself b/c it'll dehydrate me & cause the THC 2 be more concentrated, somethin' like that], drink a gallon of herbal tea as close 2 test time as possible [will it matter at all if I drink lots of it durin' the week?], go 2 one of those smoke shops to buy my detox drink there & just in case Im still unsure if I'll pass buy an @ home drug test kit [which I can find @ like a Wal-Greens]. If I do all this for a week I should be in the clear, right? Only serious answers, please, or if you've been in this situation yourself & done 1 of these things & passed a drug test. THANK YOU! Is there a home drug test available for testing for psilocybin (mushrooms) and LSD? Is there any available home drug test availaible to test for usage of psilocybin (the chemical in Magic Mushrooms) or LSD? If not a home urine or saliva test, then is there a lab kit that can be sent off for a test (perhaps as a hair follical)? If someone could provide a link to a website that would be nice.
Random Drug Testing In Schools - Will Workplace be next? I was reading the news as I always do in the morning and came across it appears a pilot program for certain US states who have participated or will participate in drug test review not only in schools but certain or all workplaces that request. I am not a drug user but familiar with drug test website's like http://www.drugtest.org in which they offer actual home drug test kits or products that can help you pass a test. My question is, with all this current knowledge and availability of products like this online, will the Government allow such procedures to happen? If so, talk about a waste of time for us "clean" folk.
What kind of drug test does Home Depot administer, and at what point during the interview process? I have an interview tomorrow morning, I'm taking a urine detox kit, (i smoked pot yesterday). I'm drinking tons of water and urinating almost clearly. Hopefully it's a urine test and not an oral swab or hair follicle.
