Using regular microscope to do saliva ovulation test?

Has anyone tried this? Would using a regular microscope work? Or do I have to buy the saliva ovulation predictor kits? Because it would take a while for shipping and some don't provide shipping to my country. I've been using OPKs strips but often I don't catch the surge (even if I use it twice a day, it might just show an "almost positive"). So I'm thinking of using this saliva testing method. Has anyone used it and what's your opinion on it?

1. sorry i never did this.. i only used the counting thingly.. it took 6 month but i'm now 17 weeks carring twins.. if u like to know the counting thing e-mail me.. if u already know goodluck on the saliva testting...
2. First morning pee for OPK's is best (I know pack says other wise but I was always missing my surge to) Once i started in morning got it every month. Once you no a pattern you can time intercourse to the tee! First positive OPK have intercourse the day after and so on until all your other fertilie signs have gone, as the OPK detect the LH surge you don't ovulate the same day (inital mistake I made). The saliva microscopes aren't that great anyway I found that my microscope readings never matched my other fertilie signs; so try temping, checking cervix and cervical fluid, heaps easier and more realiable.
