- no. when you go to take your drug test, you need to bring your prescription. they test for illegal drugs; not drugs you were prescribed for chronic pain. just bring your prescription and you'll be fine.
- If it would not affect your job and they did it would be discrimination. However, if you are applying for a job and the drug would interfere it would be in their rights. For example, if you are going to drive a company vehicle and you have methadone in your system it would be within their rights to say no. This would be considered a DUI. You cannot drive a vehicle while there is a narcotic in your system. Bring the script or a note from your doctor with you. However, if you are not hired it could be something else or since they usually know what they are doing they will say ot something else even if it is the pill.
