How many days after sex is a blood pregnancy test accurate?

I had sex on Nov 28th, and had a blood test (qualitative) done on Dec 18th, and it was negative. On the 20th I had a small pink spot when I wiped....should I be concerned? I took a hpt this morning (12/22) and it was negative.

1. It all depends on you hormone levels =). Mine took a while to come back positive. My last pregnancy i will give you the dates and things for it =) My LMP was 11/19. I just felt pregnant so I was convinced..lol. I had a blood test done on Christmas Eve because I wanted it to be like a present for my husband... but alas.... it came back negative! I did a urine the following week.... the 27th... and it had a faint line. So we did a blood test once more and it came back positive, my number was 42 (anything above .5 they generally rule as pregnant and your numbers should at least double every 48 hours - sometimes they double every 24) Hope that helps! Good Luck! P.S. Some people it is accurate within a couple weeks, but remember... it depends on your body! EVERYONE's hormone levels are different. The ranges are huge when you look up a normal HCG chart! (pregnancy hormones per week)
