Will I be safe to take a blood test for alcohol tomorrow?
Yesterday night i drank 6 shots of vodka, and about 3 or 4 beers. The last time I drank was 10:45 P.M. yesterday. I am having a blood drug test done to me tomorrow where they take a sample of my blood. Ive also been drinking plenty of water. Will I be safe tomorrow and pass for alcohol? It will have been at least 37 hours since my last drink when i take the test. Help!

- Typically the body breaks down one alcoholic drink per hour after your first drink. Since you had ten drinks the last being last night at 10:45, your blood alcohol level would be zero around 9:45 in the morning. Keep in mind certain drugs like aspirin and acetaminophen (Tylenol) slow the process of breaking down alcohol in the body, but 37 hours is more than enough time for the alcohol to be processed. You should be fine. About 90% of alcohol is broken down in the liver, about 5% is excreted in urine, and another 5% is evaporated in your breath. Drinking alot of water won't speed anything up so don't go overboard, but it will ensure you are not dehydrated when getting your blood drawn.
