Blood Drug Testing

Blood pregnancy tests?

I had sex on March the 9th and had a blood test on April the 10th. I should have got my period on April the 2nd, but didnt. The blood pregnancy test came out negative. I took about 12 home pregnancy tests of all brands and they all came out negative as well. 21 days ago I had an ultrasound and the doctor said I wasnt pregnant and put me on birth control pills since he found a cyst in my ovary probably caused by the morning-after pill I took after having been with my bf on March the 9th (I had protected sex and the condom didnt break I just wanted to be 100% sure). Do u think I should still worry about being pregnant?

  1. No
  2. Answer me this: do you think you should be having sex while unmarried if you are concerned about having children you don't want and can't raise alone?
  3. ummmm no
  4. No.It seems you've covered all your bases. You're not pregnant!! Now breath and get on with your life.
  5. no you should not worry about being pregnant because you had a blood test and an ultrasound and if you were pregnant then if nothing else they would have found out by the ultrasound
  6. I'm an OB nurse, and no, you're not pregnant. I'm assuming that prior to the ultrasound visit you weren't on regular birth control. The morning after pill can screw up your chemistry, and the blood test is very, very accurate as is the ultrasound. Both together being wrong is nearly impossible.
  7. No, yu shouldnt have to worry about being pregnant. A blood pregnancy test is very accurate, and can tell if a woman is pregnant only 6-8 days from conception. And since your doctor did and ultrasound, and also said you wernt pregnant, then i wouldnt worry at all. Sometimes, when a woman has a cyst on her ovary, it can cause a delay in the menstraul cycle. You can ask your doctor for medicines to help bring back your period, if you want of course. Also, keep in mind the the cst will mostly likly go away on its own over the next few months. If it doesnt go away, and you eventually become pregnant, then it is still okay, and wont harm your pregnancy any.
  8. I think that if your Dr said your not then your not and if the ultrasound came back negative then you shouldn't worry i would definitely be on some kind of birth control
  9. no. Serum HCG test are very sensitive, shows results in about 2 to 3 weeks after conseption if I remember corectly.
  10. no, after all those confirmations of negative results, it is almost guaranteed that you are not pregnant. doctors usually know what they are doing.
  11. A blood pregnancy test will show you are pregnant after seven days of conception. So if it was only a day then there is no way it would have showed up in your blood. You could be and if you were it would be showing up by now though. go back to the doctor now and redo the test
