Blood Drug Testing

I recently had an ecg and blood tests can anybody help me understand the results?

The ecg showed inverted T waves and my blood results showed reduced white cell count of 1.4,I know thats low and im waiting on the bloods being repeated to figure out why. I reallly dont know what this can mean, could it be just one of these things? and does that have any health complications? I am 27 year old female and vegan I dont know if that is relevant could that have lowered my white cells? thanks for your help.x

  1. For the ECG, you need to know what leads the inverted T waves were on to figure out if that's a sign of something. As for the low white count, there are a number of possible causes (see the link below), one of which is vitamin deficiencies, which might be relevant because of your diet. It's possible that's it's just something transient (like a virus) or even an error in the testing, but it could be the sign of something more severe, so it's a good idea to have the test repeated.
  2. T waves are waves created when you heart is recovering from a beat and inverted T wave can be an indicator for many things, you doctor will be able to explain these things to you in a follow up appointment. Low white blood cell count is often caused by previous viral infections and is most often not a cause for concern of doctors. You can take echinacea, which is a herbal plant extract, usually in pill form, that will boost your immune system and help to or event any further viral infections. This will be available at most good pharmacys or health food shops. You being a vegan should not cause massive issues regarding immune system as long as you are getting you daily amounts of protein through food or supplements. I hope this has made the things you have been told slightly more clear, if not you should make an appointment with you doctor and ask him to explain the implications of the results to you until you fully understand. Good luck
