- well the amount they take from you arm is relatively the same... i think anyway. they just test for different things in the lab
- A normal blood test isn't for drugs, it's for sugar levels and things like that.
- well yes a regular one is done with urine, and obviously a blood one is done with blood.
- yes a drug blood test is looking for drugs and a normal blood test could be testing for aids, iron, and specific medical diagnoisis
- Yes. A drug blood test is just looking for signs of common drugs. A standard blood test does not test for drugs, but instead markers of health, like red and white blood cell count, cholesterol, etc.
- When you draw blood for a test the only thing that is going to vary is the kind of anti coagulate they might use in the vacutainer because certain additives might make certain tests more difficult. Down stream applications will be different, because they will test specific things based on what the test is for, but for you it will seem the same whether they are testing for a medical condition or doing a toxicology screening.
- You betcha! A drug test specifically looks for the presence of illegal drugs in your system such as pot, coke, or meth. A regular blood test is used to evaluate your body's health and functionality. It checks for red/ white blood cell count and certain other proteins in your blood that are used to determine liver/ kidney function.
- blood test is just to test the qualities of your bloob based on the standards (eg. blood sugar count, platelet level..) while the drug test is to really qualify the blood by the minerals present on it..
