- yes. you should let your employer know before hand about why you were having to take the percocet. or let them know immediately. i found its best to let the person thats doing the testing know before hand so they can make a note of it on my testing to watch for it cause i'm on a certain perscription and that really helps. it lets them see if you really are honest about the use of whatever medicine. good luck and best wishes.
- ah very naughty
- Yes, oxycodone [the narcotic component of Percocet] will show up on any kind of drug test [saliva, blood, urine, hair or sweat] as soon as 15 minutes after ingestion, and will continue to show up for 3 to 4 days after the last oral dosage. If Percocet was prescribed for your use by a properly licensed physician, nobody [an employer, for example] can penalize you for a positive result. Of course, you'll have to present proof of this [like a copy of your medical record, or a written certification by the prescribing doctor that you had a legitimate reason for use of this medication, maybe the medicine bottle with your name on it]. On the contrary, if your use of Percocet was recreational, probably you can get in trouble [with your employer and/or the law enforcement authorities]. Percocet is an Schedule II controlled substance, and its use by any person other than the patient to whom it was prescribed constitutes a felony. Good luck, buddy!
- Ya it will show up, but if you have proof of a prescription you're good to go. If not, you're screwed.
