How soon can a positive test for chlamydia show up in a urine test?

Can chlamydia show up in a urine test one day after intercourse occurred?? The day after I had intercourse, I gave a urine sample and I was positive for Chlamydia. But...I had an exam/papsmear 3 weeks prior and tested negative.

1. Usually not. The usual incubation for chlamydia is a few days to a few weeks. I know it's difficult to wait, but a test at 7 days after intercourse would be most reliable.
