How long is alchol detectable on a breathalizer or a urine test?

I have a friend who is on probation for traffic tickets. he has to report randomly and take a brealalizer and urine test. How long after a person drinks is it still detectable?

1. Usually 12 hours if I recall correctly. Depends on the person though.
2. only as long as it's in your system I believe I think once your liver disposes of it it's gone. so you drink a beer it takes an hour or so. drink 2 beers 2 hours or so and so on. May want to give it a little more than an hour / drink to be sure. 1 beer in 1 hour is a rough estimate of how long it takes an average sized person to dispose of the alcohol in an average beer it's not an exact science and I'm assuming you've got a working liver.
