Can passive pot smoking be detected in a urine test?
I'm trying to get clean for a urine test and haven't smoked pot for over 3 weeks. My other half still smokes, and I try to leave the room when he does. I'm not sure if i smell the smoke by accident will it affect my urine sample?

- no!
- No. But depending on how much you smoked, 3 weeks may not be enough to be rid of that.
- Yes, it could. If you inhale any of the second-hand smoke (which would be mixed with normal room air), it will travel to your lungs where the alveoli (small pockets of the lungs) will exchange the second-hand marijuana smoke with the carbon dioxide (which is a waste product of the body) in your bloodstream, and then it will travel throughout your body. The urinary system is a means of getting rid of waste as well as is the exhalation of carbon dioxide from the lungs. If you are around it a lot, it will most likely show up; especially if you have only stopped smoking marijuana yourself 3 weeks ago.
- If you can smell it then it can also get in you hair and skin also, 50/50 you pass, Good Luck, If your better half cared about you passing this test then they would have taken it out side or at least to the garage.
