What can these lab blood test results indicate?
I just had my routine physical and labs done. I am 32 yo male, 5'9 150 lbs, with no medical history. There were 2 abnormal results the doctor brought to my attention my fasting blood glucose was 107 - normal is 65-99 and over 100 they consider prediabetes vitamen D levels were 17.3, normal range is 32-100 my a1c was 5.3, which the doc said is normal combined, do any of these indicate a specific problem i should be addressing? Also my total bilirubin is 1.5 and it shows normal range of 0.1-1.2 - is that significant

- The fasting glucose of 107, at least in the office that work in is considered normal, our ranges are 70-115. The low vitamin D level try OTC vitamin D pills, that should bring that to were it needs to be. The AIC level is normal. In all I would not be concerned about the labs, eat less carbs if you are at all concerned about the fasting glucose. If there is no family history I would not be concerned.
- The fasting glucose actually is not that high, and considering that your A1C is 5.3, I wouldn't worry about that too much- maybe just make sure you are eating healthy foods instead of junk food. Your vitamin D levels are low- do you drink milk at all? If so, drink more. If you are not a milk drinker, you could take a vitamin supplement. Also the sun helps your body to produce vitamin D, and in the winter months you aren't exactly getting much sun. Try to go outside more during the summer months.
- none trhat i c..wish mine were that good
