Can use of marijuana alter medical tests? Specifically blood work?
Plain and simple? If someone were to use marijuana daily would it alter the results of specific blood tests -like hide or mask markers or elevated/lowered levels -or would it have any effect on these tests? Thanks.

- Yes it would make a difference. They can tell. ...Why are you asking? ...Do you do marijuana?
- lol. i wouldn't smoke pot. really. bad choice. believe me. and yes. it would alter those kinds of tests, they could totally tell. "/.
- I would think so, its a drug. It can alter the effects of another drug that is needed. It can misconstrue a blood test, if they don't know what they are looking at. I would be careful in anything like this, be honest with a Dr, so they will know what the are looking for. That chit, almost killed me 24 years ago, overdosed and almost went into a convulsion. It is addicting. Fun at first, and at first it was a Leisure but then it became a necessity, be honest with the Doctor, trust me!
- No, definitely not. Marijuana does not alter any chemicals in the body that would be detectable in a blood test, unless they are specifically testing for thc. THC does not alter any specific chemicals in the body that would make it obvious through a blood test. Unless it is a drug test which must specifically test for the thc metabolites (pretty much just thc), there is no way they can tell you have used marijuana, even if you smoked all day every day. All of these other people who say marijuana alters other chemicals in the body are off their rocker, blinded by 100 years of unfounded antagonizing of marijuana by the government. All I have to say is this: FIND ME ONE NON-GOVERNMENT-FUNDED research study (aka legitimate) that proves marijuana alters the concentrations of any non-related chemicals in the body. I will shut up if you do. While you are doing this, I will lower my standards by challenging you to just find one legitimate study saying marijuana does ANYTHING bad (besides the proven minor and TEMPORARY short term memory loss). it is a medicine with less negative effects than a tylenol.
