Is it safe to take frequent lab test (blood drawn)?
My PCP ordered a lab test for me last december. They took 3 tubes for the test, a week later another tube was taken. Last january, another 2 tubes were drawn. February, 2 tubes were drawn. This march, I will need another 3 tubes for different tests. Is it safe loosing that much blood every month?

- A tube of blood only holds a couple ounces. Normally you can "donate" about a pint of blood every 8 weeks. If you are concerned have them check your iron levels.
- Sure....it is very safe. Three tubes isn't that much blood at all. THink of these patients in hospitals....they usually get atleast 5 tubes drawn per day while admitted! Your body replenishes your blood volumes very fast.
