how soon after you get your blood test done at a lab.do they fax the results to your doctor?
i had a blood test done to check my triglycerides on thursday nov6 so when should my family physician get the results?

- When I get a blood drawn, it gets sent out to be tested and then they send the results to the doctor. It generally takes a day or two, but it depends on the lab. You are free to call your doctor's office and ask if the results have come in yet. They will be glad to tell you.
- It depends on the lab, but usually when my dad gets his cholesterol checked it only takes at most 5 days, usually he also receives a call from the doctor when the results are in.
