1. i dont really get what you're asking? but you need to preserve glucose because of the pyruvate and atp it can create quickly. 1 glucose molecule can create 32 atp equivalents (when entered into the krebs cycle). i dont know what you're asking?
2. The absence of glucose is incompatible with life as we know it on this planets. Glycolysis is the metabolic process which turn glucose into the energy needed to power every cell in our bodies.
