What chemical do they test for in a marijuana drug test?
I heard that although THC / Cannibinoids get you high, the drug tests actually check for a different chemical that is present in the body. I was wondering if this is true. Only answer if you KNOW what chemical they look for, like i said i know THC gets you high, but i believe they test for a different substance. Thank you much.

- they look for THC and other drugs, but THC is the chemical for weed
- i thought it was THC that they tested for. It stays within the body because it is soluble in lipids, or fats, so it stays within the body long after you take the substance in.
- delta-9-tetrahydrocannibinol or THC there's nothing else of interest regarding cannabis sativa
- THC stores in fat cells and is released in your urine so they test your urine to see if there's THC in it.
- dronabinol. THC is tetrahydrocannabinol {Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol}.
- Im not 100% sure, but i do know its in poppy seeds to,like if you eat a poppy seed baggle it will come up positive for marijuana...
- THC (which is stored in body fat).
