Blood Drug Testing

Drug testing: why does the player's union allow urine tests, but not blood tests?

Why is one test "worse" than the other?

Public Comments

  1. Contract dictates what is done in sports and at the work place. Negotiate a change but takes time and possible strike again.
  2. Well DUH the blood test may detect something that a Urine test won't find. I think they can find HGH with a blood test, and they don't with urine.
  3. Why do you think Roger Clemens opted to go to the Minor League for the first two months of this season?
  4. Blood testing is a much more intrusive procedure. Blood needs to be drawn out with a needle, while urine is just expelled by the player. .
  5. Because the player's union is totally corrupt.
  6. The Union is being very difficult which is why Congress has been hounding Mlb.
