Blood Drug Testing

Does a standard Blood Test (for Fire Dept.) Check For Hormones/Steroids?

I am joining the local Fire Dept. I have to take a physical that includes a blood test. I am a steroid user and I need to know if a standard blood test (the entrance physical to the fire dept.) does it test your hormones or for steroids? Thank y'all so much!

3. Usually, yeah. They can only take on those who take care of their bodies. So, steriods is a no no.
4. This question can only be answered by your Human Resource Department. In a blood test, there are over 100 factors which can be tested. Many Employers do request a steroid and drug test, some do not request a steroid test. Normally a Chem 20 (20 factors monitored) is done which does include steroid and drug, but you can also do a Chem 10 at a lesser cost.
