thyroid cancer after all blood tests being ok,including thyroid tests?
can you have thyroid cancer even with all your thyroid specific tests and all blood tests being ok.my doctor seems to think it would be a slim chance,he feels it would show up in the blood tests in some way.i'm not sure ,that is why i am asking

- Depends on the cancer. Thyroid cancer usually (almost always) will either increase or decrease the secretion of thyroid hormones, so if all yours are normal, I would say that most likely it is not thyroid cancer. Of course there is always a slim chance, it doesnt hurt to have your doctor do more tests if you think that is your diagnosis. Do what you feel is right, no one knows your body better than you do.
- Doubtful as your wbc would be elevated. In addition to that your t4, tsh and t3 would probably all be out of whack.
- Do thyroid disorders run in your family? Just curious. My daughter was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year after having no symptoms at all - the mass was found during a routine sinus scan.
