Blood Drug Testing

What exactly is being looked for in blood testing for job? Hep B or Drugs?

Q about blood/drug testing? I just called from a job telling me they would like to hire me...its for a jewish home. They said they will be doing PPD, drug test and blood testing...does that mean that its a blood drug test? Or could they be checking other things in blood (like if I have Hep B shot?)

1. They will probably be looking for the presence of bloodborne pathogens, including Hepatitis in your blood test. The drug screen testing can vary in what they are looking for, but most of them test for the presence of cocaine, opiates, THC, barbiturates, amphetamines, and benzodiazepines. The drug test could use urine, hair, blood or a mouth swab or a combination of the above. The PPD is looking for evidence of tuberculosis.
