Can you fake a drug test with a detox kit?

this is just pure curiosity... lol... how DO you fake a drug test. My friend told me that he had to fake his... :D...yeah so it wasnt just purely curiosity... but what ever. He told me he had to fake it just not HOW... and I can't get over it. I'm thinking it's with a detox kit, but I'm not sure. If it is somebody please explain how that works... and how long it takes.
