Understanding thyroid blood tests?

I just received the results from my TSH blood test, and my Dr. seemed rather concerned and ordered medication rather quickly. Can someone direct me to a site where I can learn more information about this, please? My TSH ( I guess norm is .4-4.50) was 35.64

1. Your TSH is high and it can indicate hypothyroidism ( low Thyroid.) The Web MD site below is probably the best site.
2. don't worry hun, the sooner your on the meds the better you feel, all the women in my family have low thyroid, its only a matter of time before i do too, mum looks pale as can be before she has her pills on a morning.
