Hashimoto's thyroid with normal blood work?

My thyroid blood tests are all normal, but a thyroid biopsy detects Hashimoto's. Has anyone or any medical person ever heard of this? How would this be treated?

This condition is not uncommon; instead of biopsy it can be detected by elevated TPO antibodies in blood [95% probability] It usually takes a while [sometimes years ] until the thyroid tissue can get destroyed enough to to cause drop in hormonal levels [hypothyroidism]. Some studies show that dietary selenium can reduce levels of antibodies, that should slow down the destruction of thyroid [about 30 % effectivness]
