Blood Drug Testing

Will any trace of alcohol show up in a thyroid blood test?

Public Comments

  1. If they are not specifically testing for alcohol, they will not find it.
  2. no...not unless they test for alcohol it won't show up on ANY test (except a breathilizer)
  3. Whenever you drink alcohol it ends up in your bloodstream. So yes, alcohol will show up in your blood test.
  4. No.
  5. Busted!
  6. nope cause thats not what they are looking for
  7. It's a THYROID BLOOD TEST which means they are only concerned about stuff that has to do with your thyroid, it's not a drug test
  8. yes it willl show on your blood test even if their not looking for that it will show up
  9. Only if they are testing for it. Medical tests aren't like what you see on CSI or anything. In order to find something they have to know what they want to find. There is no way to test blood and find everything that shouldn't be there. Besides, if they are testing your thyroid they are testing for it's thyrotropin horomone levels - not ethanol levels.
  10. If they test for it they will find it, but normally they do not test for alcohol in a thyroid test. The presence of alcohol should not be relevant unless you are abusing it's use.
