- Both of these people are wrong. JW refuse to have blood transfusions or any organ transplant. In some cases they refuse all medical treatments, even to their children, even if the kid would die otherwise. Many time a court will overturn it, and force the parent to allow the child to be treated. The law states that you may refuse treatment for yourself even if it results in your death, but you cannot foist your religious beliefs on a child that would result in that child's death. Pretty much, however, if some one can come up with a belief, or a taboo or whatever, there will be some bunch somewhere that will make a religion out of it. "If one person believes something nuts we call him insane. If many do, we call that a religion."
- Unless ordered by a court, you don't need a religious objection to refuse any test or treatment. JW are fine with blood going out, they have problems with blood going in. Christian Science tends to reject all medical treatment. I haven't heard of any religious objection to urine testing. That's just silly. Sounds like an idea that a stoned teenager thought up.
