Blood Drug Testing

Is it common for drug tests to test for Benzodiazepines?

My boarding school does random drug tests, which they charge our parents $110 for. They generally don't work very well, considering some of my friends have passed when it seemed impossible. Do you think it is likely that this test can detect benzodiazepines?

  1. It is very possible to detect benzodiazepines; it depends on what the school is looking for. This class of drugs is frequently used to "come down" from other drugs that make you high. Quit worrying about whether you will get caught in a drug test, and start worrying about what your parents will think when you are found dead from an OD. These drugs are CNS depressants. Quit using them, and quit hanging with the students that do use them.
  2. you can have that out of your system in a few days , if they are the ones testing then why do they charge your parents , fascist country
  3. Most schools will provide a test that checks for five categories. These five categories include: · Cocaine – Includes Cocaine, Crack and Benzoylecognine · Cannabinoids – Includes Marijuana and Hash · Amphetamines – Includes Speed, Methamphetamines and amphetamines · Opiates – Includes Heroin, Opium, Codeine and Morphine · Phencyclidine – PCP But Depending on what school you are in, they can test for additional drugs such as: · Barbiturates – Including Phenobarbital, Scorbarbitol and Butalbital · Hydrocodone – Including Vicodin and Lortab · Mehqualone – Known most commonly as Quaaludes or Ludes · Benzodiazepines – Includes Valium, Xanax, Librium, Serax and Rohypnol · Methadone · Propoxyphene – Includes Darvon compounds · Ethanol – Known as Alcohol · MDMA or Ecstasy
  4. There are simple test to detect benzos. It will detect brand name drugs such as valium florezepam ativan and more. I important to remember all urine tests are looking for metabolite in urine. So if pill was taken let say less than 24 hours before test it may not show up yet.
