pregnancy & blood tests?

Hi, I was just wondering, I'm 5 days late (which never happens) & I'm going to have a blood test tomorrow morning to see whether I am or not...I've already done two urine pregnancy tests in those 5 days & they have been negative. So i was wondering is it two early for a blood test, will it pick up my hormone levels straightaway? thanx for your answers

1. if you are 5 days late the urine tests should pick it up but your hormone levels may be too low to pick it up a blood test will definatly be able to let u know this can pick up a pregnancy 2 weeks before you can do home urine tests. good luck hope you get the result you want.
2. blood tests are usually very accurate , either wait for blood test results to come back or use another HPT in a few days . It may well be that you are just late on your period , i was two weeks late last month and that never ever happens ;-))
3. Blood Tests are very accurate.. My friend was 3 weeks late before it showed up on a HPT. Good Luck.
