Blood Drug Testing

How long would it take for a doctors surgery to send blood test results to another surgery? It has been 2 week?

How long does it take to get the results of a blood test, then send them onto another surgery - I would assume that is only a week at the most to send them on. Basically, the private clinic that is waiting on being sent the results still havent recieved them 2 weeks after I had the blood test at an NHS doctors surgery.. Is this taking the normal amount of time or should I hurry them along?

1. Depending on how busy the lab is it can take about a week to get the results to the doctors. Because of how long it's been since you had the test I would recommend getting back in touch with the lab to let them know that your doctor's office still hasn't received the results of the bloodwork. I am in the U.S. and we sometimes have this problem. I ran in to this with my mom trying to get some of her bloodwork. It took us 4 weeks to get the results. She kept getting in touch with the doctor's office to see if they got the report the answer was no. They kept saying, "We'll ask them to fax it over" and I told her not to take their word for it and call the lab herself to ask them to send the results to the doctor's office.
