how long does it take to get blood test results back?

at 10 weeks pregnant, when you got the blood test for down syndrome done. how long did it take to get the results back?

1. the afp test takes around 7 to 10 days for you to get results back. If they give you a call then it came out positive (which doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong it just means they need to do more tests), if they don't call you then don't worry. as far as i know you don't take that test till around 16 weeks i think (I took it a few weeks ago).
2. between 3-7 days, you need blood test before the ultrasound!! good luck :)
