Blood Drug Testing

How long does it take to get blood test results for pregnancy and thyriod from lab? or does it depends on labs?

My doctor has ordered a lab for pregnancy and something to do with my thryiod because my period was supposed to be here 1 week ago and all urine tests are still coming up negative. Is there a general rule on how long it takes for lab results for thyriod and pregnancy tests or does it simply depend on the facility?

2. Well at my clinic a blood pregnancy test will be ready in about 30 minutes. I'm unsure as to the thyroid, I suppose it just depends on if the facility has the capability to test it there or have to send it off. All labs are able to perform pregnancy tests though!
3. It really depends on the lab. I had gotten a pregnancy test a few years ago to participate in a study. The result came back in under an hour, where as when I had my thyroid checked it took about a week or two. It doesn't hurt to ask the lab what they think the time frame would be for such results from them. I do know that pregnancy tests usually don't take long.
