Routine blood tests tomorrow will the results also show if I could be pregnant?
I am having some routine bloods done tomorrow, include blood count, liver function, urea etc I have a sneaky suspicion that I might be pregnant. I didn't say that I thought I could be as I thought I would get a test first. I have a 5 month old, am breast feeding and also have the Mirena fitted so the chances are low, but I still wonder. I will buy a test tomorrow but for now I am just wondering! Will the routine blood tests show HCG/if I am pregnant or not even if they aren't testing for pregnancy?

- No, only if they test for pregnancy.
- Probably not... If they are doing regular blood work, and pregnancy isn't suspected, or a concern, then they don't usually request it. Why don't you ask your doctor to add it on the requisition sheet? cheers!
- No. If the doctor doesn't order it they don't draw for it. When having a CBC or anything they aren't searching for the pregnancy hormone. Only a beta hcg count will determine if your pregnant or not. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
- Not if they aren't testing for pregnancy.
- They have to be testing for HCG in order to find it. They only look for the things they are testing for, so they most likely couldn't tell you from that.
- No, it would only show your HCG levels if your doctor specifically takes blood and gets it tested for pregnancy.
