Blood Drug Testing

thyroid blood tests out of whack...?

My blood test came back with a very elevated THYROGLOBULIN Ab (508.00 IU/ml with normal range up to 40) and very low TSH and very high T3 and T4. My results were normal a year ago. Can anybody help shed light on what is going on? Thanks...

  1. very low TSH and high T4 means you are hyperthyroid The thyroglobulin antibody level probably means you could have Graves disease, which is basically hyperthyroidism Basically your thyroid is overactive and producing a lot of thyroid hormone Do you feel hot all the time? Are you losing weight? Are you jittery? Does your heart race?
  2. My wife had a bad thyroid, don't remember the readings though. After about 1 Yr. I decided to retake it. It takes about 3 months to clear! She had a stroke 8 Years ago. Needless to say the next reading was in the middle. I knew before her stroke the thyroid was good. All through that 1 Yr. she had no change. No energy increase physically & no upbeat in her mental attitude. Probably what is best is to eat your pork 1-2 x per week, then retake the test. I am only trying to use common sense! PS. My wife is not on any Medication (drugs) currently!
  3. Probably Grave's disease. You need a TSI test to confirm. Or a TBII. It normally points to Hashimoto's, but with hyperthyroidism, the high TgAb can just be a side effect of the Grave's. Didn't your doctor tell you all of this?
