How long does a saliva drug test detect weed for?

I've gotten a lotta different answers but I get drug tested randomly-monthly for school and I just wanted to know how long before school I need to stop. Like 1 or 2 weeks?? I heard saliva tests have a really short detection time. Please help.

1. Actually the saliva testing is one of the most effective and easy ways to determine when, and how long ago you have used marijuanna. If you are randomly tested for drugs, why would you risk getting punished so severly? Just quit using and enjoy a good life at school.
