Should I be nervous with random drug testing?
I use to smoke marijuana occasionally. I recently stopped hanging out with my old group of friends that smoked it all the time because I had too much to lose. Well, they just did a random drug test at work today with two workers. I have to work tomorrow and I am so nervous that I'm going to be next. It's been about 3 weeks since I smoked a joint. I have been drinking a lot of water since I smoked. I also went to the drug store today and bought a test that was negative. I don't know how accurate the home tests are so I'm still kind of nervous. Should I be nervous? I am thinking about calling in at work. I really don't need to miss the time though. Is there a chance I can test positive? I know I'm never smoking it again.. that's for sure

- marijuana can stay in your system for as little as 3 days up to 90 days. It all depends on your health, your body weight, metabolism, fluid intake, and the degree of exposure to the drug. Hopefully its out of your system and I wouldn't completely trust a home test but a good amount of time their right. If you still want to give it another day to get out of your system then its better to be safe then sorry. Hope I helped and good luck.
- three weeks is a fair amount of time for it to run out of your system it can take as long as 30 days for some people, but from your description of your usage I think you should be fine. THC, the substance that they test for, is stored in our fat cells thats why it takes so long to come out of our system. Go to work tomorrow drink some water and you will be fine. If you really want to be on the safe side drink enough so that you piss clear at the time of the test. ( that means urinating a couple times before you go to work)
