Blood Drug Testing

Will cancer be picked up in normal blood tests?

I'm kind of nervous when it comes to colon cancer because a few people in my family has it. When I get my blood tests done every year would something like that show up in the tests, or do I have to have special tests done?

  1. You would most likely need to do special tests such as a colonoscopy and a smear test (where you smear some of your fecal matter on a card and send it to the lab for evaluation). Tell your doctor of you fears and he/she will do what needs to be done. Best of luck to you.
  2. They will look at your white blood cell count and red blood cell count and if one isnt right they will do further tests.
  3. is not so
