What are the legal consequences for a failed drug test?
What are the legal consequences for failing a marijuana drug test in Texas? I'm not talking about possession just a failed drug test. What if a school is testing you? Does it go on our perminant record? Can they expell us? Thanks for your answers guys!

- It depends on who is testing you and why. If a school is testing you as part of a qualifier for extracurricular activities as permitted in the Earls v Tecumseh case, then you won't be arrested or anything, You just won't be able to participate. If it's for a job, you won't go to jail. Nor will you get the job. If it's drug testing as part of a probation or parole agreement, you can bet there will be legal consequences for failing the test.
- Unless you are on probation, then nothing. If you are trying to get a job, then you probably won't get hired. Not sure what you mean by 'school'. Public schools don't drug test, and private institutions usually don't either (unless you are trying to get a job there - if so, see above). I smoked out right before going to my job interview - they drug tested me, but I didn't have to take it for two weeks, so i was able to get cleaned up (lots of water and cranberry juice). I've been here over 4 years now.
- Depends... If its just the school then they kick you off the team or w/e your geting tested for.Maybe call your parents? But no legal action will be taken.
