Why would my doctor suggest a thyroid and anemia blood test?
I went in to be seen for stress and anxiety. As I was about to exit he asked me to get a blood test for anemia and thyroid. Why all the sudden would he suggest that?

- To see if you have thyroid problems or if you're anemic.... :/
- Sometimes thyroid disease can cause anxiety and stress on your body. Your thyroid has some control over everything in your body. When a thyroid has a problem, your body can be all over the place. You may have thyroid disease which is causing the anxiety. If you do, it's not a huge deal. You will most likely just be put on pills that will regulate your thyroid activity. Do you have any other symptoms such as getting really cold or really hot very easily, hair loss, weight loss/gain, dry skin, etc.? I have had thyroid disease for 5 years now, and all I do is take a pill everyday, and things are fine. Good luck!
