Blood Drug Testing

Cancer & Blood Test?

Forgive me for being ignorant, but can cancer show up on a blood test? I know that obviously they cant tell which type, but perhaps it would show an irregularity

1. I'm not a health professional but I believe it's not the cancer that shows up in a blood test but, as in my son's case, his white cell count was completely screwed up. That, and other symptoms, will indicate something is not right.
2. I believe there are certain markers that will show up if they are specifically tested for.
