Blood Drug Testing

If I had a general blood test and nothing came back is cancer then ruled out?

I've had tonsil and neck pains for weeks now and had a general blood test to check for white blood cell counts etc but nothing came back.

1. No this does not rule out cancer. Why do you think it might be?Have they taken a culture from your tonsils?Does your doctor have any recommendations?
2. Nope. That would only rule out Leukemia (which is cancer of the bone marrow). You should be fine. Your pain is probably due to the swelling of the tonsils and your neck nerve endings are close to your throat so, it makes sense for your neck to be in pain.
3. A blood test could rule out leukemia, but to diagnose other sort of cancer a biopsy is necessary.
