Are the blood pregnancy test accurate?
I am 18 years old and have irregular period. My last period was 13 weeks ago. This is the longest wait ever. I took 5 home pregnancy test and it all came out negative. I was still worry, so i went to the clinic to get a blood pregnancy test. I waited about 30 minutes for the result and it came back negative. I feel completely normal. I am not pregnant right?

- Yes. Blood pregnancy tests are THE answer like, sometimes the pregnancy test cant detect it and if you have ever seen the show "I didnt know I was pregnant" from the sounds of it you are definentely NOT pregnant. Your period is probably stopped because your stressing too much. Take a deep breath and enjoy the time off.
- yes they are the most accurate test, nd no your not
- ya blood test are the most accurate test .....unless they look inside but thats the most accurate "early" test
- if it says your not, you're not. Stop having sex so you don't have to worry about getting pregnant everytime
- Your are not pregnant. However poor diet, being overweight, excess exercise, as well as some other things can lead to lack of periods. PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome can cause irregular periods, weight gain, and facial hair.
- Blood test are currently one of the most accurate ways to determine if you are pregnant or not at an early stage. If you have had irregular periods for a long time then I would strongly suggest that you go on birth control since it will regulate your periods. By the number of tests you have gone through i would say that the chance you are acctually pregnant are practicly zero. Time to stop freaking out about this and start thinking about convincing mom to get you on birth control for everyones peace of mind :)
- I got a blood pregnancy test as well, but my doctor never called me so I cant really tell you about that. But because youre stressing so much over whether or not youre going to get your period thats probably effecting it. Stress plays a big role. Just chill out a bit, but if by your next period it doesnt come then just go get an ultra sound. Oh also, you need to take a pregnancy test 4 days before your expected period or your results wont be accurate so if youre not already doing that, try one more home test doing that. If it turns out you are pregnant, try to get to that conclusion before 23 weeks, because they wont do an abortion (if you want one) after that unless you get a reason to do it from 2 different doctors.
- A blood pregnancy test is as accurate as you can get. If the home pregnancy and blood test came negative, then you are definately not pregnant. Just remember that a number of things can cause you to skip periods, such as working out alot (athletes often miss or have few periods), excess stress, not eating enough, not getting enough actual nutrition from the food you eat (you dont get much nutrition from eating junk food), etc. It could also be that you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) or some other illness/disease. PCOS is becoming more and more common in women these days. Possible signs include: Weight gain Excess hair growth, especially on the lips, chin, etc. Having diabetes or becoming diabetic, or being insulin resistant Dark pigmentation in the fold of your elbows, backs of knees, etc. If you go another month with no period, consider going to the doctor and trying to figure out a possible cause.
- When my mom was pregnant with me she took tons of home pregnancy test and all read negative. Her hips get growing and she kept getting heartburn. Her aunt took her to a hospital and even the test there read negative. She had to go to her gynecologist and get a blood test for the test to finally read positve My point is the HCG levels in your urine might be too low or diluted so it gives a negative result on a home pregnancy test. Go to the gynecologist (or hospital if they will do it) and get a blood test. The HCG levels in your blood are much higher than the levels in your urine.
