When will a blood pregnancy test be accurate?

Period on the 2nd...ovulated 14days later...and had un protected sex during that period. ' Went to have a blood pregnancy test done and it came back negative?

1. Within a few days a blood test can be accurate i believe.
2. A blood test is usually accurate around 5 days before your period is due.
